Sunmelia Beach Resort & Spa offers a warm and spacious atmosphere that appeals to families, though the monotonous music has been a letdown for some guests. While the clean pools and beach facilities are often appreciated, opinions on the hotel vary greatly. A number of guests have raised concerns about the value, criticizing the hotel for additional charges and subpar entertainment. Room experiences are mixed, with issues in housekeeping and maintenance contrasting with those who found their accommodations clean and roomy. Service quality also receives mixed feedback, with some staff members praised for their attentiveness, while others are noted for poor communication skills. Cleanliness appears to be inconsistent, with some guests reporting the necessity of requesting or tipping for room cleaning.

this is definetly not a 5 star hotel by european standards.
i will start by saying that if you don't leave a tip in your room every day, they will not change your towels daily, even if are left on the bathroom floor.
the food is average, would not necessarily reccommend
the beach is not nice, as is not a sandy beach, but with lots of rocks, i'll attach a picture. you definetly need water shoes.
also, the resort it located at the limits of the city, so you really don't have anywhere to walk. and you cannot walk on the beach, because outside the private hotel beach, the rocky sand has bottles and trash so do not recommend.
again, is decent for the price, but not at all as advertised

We stayed here as a family (17in total) and had a great time from booking in to booking out mainly due to the size of our family, let me start by thanking everyone who works at the hotel for being so nice as nothing was too much trouble to them (Reception ,waiters , cleaners , cooks, animation team & realy big thank you to the bar staff who kept us supplied with drinks) we had 7 rooms between us which were cleaned each day with only one problem arising that we were short on towels in one room which was finally corrected after a couple of phone calls and some hours later, This is a large hotel with 4 pools and a private beach with plenty of sun loungers and a great beach bar and cafe were we ate most dinner times.we found It caters mainly for Eastern Europeans so that is why not many hotel staff can speak english but we found they were willing to learn as they translated on their phones. It is the first all inclusive hotel that i have witnessed so much food being wasted by diners they just pile the food onto their plates and leave what they can't eat, just take enough and go back for more if needed. overall i would say this is a good hotel with lovely hard working staff who get some abuse from ignorant people who should know better but which sadly at the moment is not geared up to the English

Very rude staff, they can basically ruined your day with their attitude.
They don't speak English, so if you ask for towels and explain it and show them pictures, after a full day of waiting they will bring you bed sheets instead.
I had to beg and pay to get our room clean.
The fridge in the room was broken, a full week they didn't have time to fix it.
Other than the staff the staff it's beautiful hotel, good food and nice entertainment program.
Be aware there is no wifi in the room or the pool, only in the lobby.
The pool is 1.40 depth, wasn't nice for short kids.

You don't get what you paid for, search for somewhere else. If you don't demand for your room to be cleaned it won't be. For two straight days they did not clean the room so we had to ask on a daily basis for our room to be cleaned. Also if you go there you HAVE to put the sign at the door which writes 'Do not disturb' because they will enter your room while you're still there. In our last day it was 09:00 AM we have to make check-out at 12:00 PM since the person who cleaned our (which was a male) knew it was our last day wanted to clean our room as soon as possible and tried to enter twice before 10:00 AM until we put the sign he kept trying. The food is average. The staff does not speak any English, the reception speaks some sort of poor English but it is very difficult talk to them. The only one who could speak were the people who wanted money from you. Our room was located at the entrance of the hotel and you can hear the noise from the machines make in the near hotel. The two stars go for the beach which we liked and because they had a couple of pools.

We stayed here for 9 nights in June, the hotel itself is nice and the slides are fun for the kids- it is very secluded and not near any restaurants of nightlife outside the hotel.
We will never return to this hotel due to how rude and unwelcoming the staff are (they don’t smile ever!) you are treated like you haven’t paid to be there and are a complete inconvenience for them.
The cleaners for your room will also come in and take the tip you’ve left and leave the room with dirty towels, cups and bed sheets in a heap on the floor and won’t restock the fridge with water or juice (this happened on most days and wasn’t a 1 off)
We have visited Turkey lots of times and the hospitality in this hotel is well below the average.

Family friendly hotel, a great place to relax and enjoy with variety of daily entertainment programs created for kids and adults. The employees are hard working, high level of cleanness in the rooms and the hotel, the whole property. The hospitality is on good level considering how busy is the hotel with the number of guests being served on daily basis. The buffet is outstanding, different theme nights, high quality and variety of food, starting with salads, main courses, fruits, desserts, beverage etc...
Definitely coming back, we already missing the pools, the beach ...

None of staff speak english and they are very rude. They do not respect when you put a sign "Do not disturb", do not clean room properly (do not change sheets everyday, forget to put clean towels, do not fill in the mini bar in the room),in restaurant tables always dirty. When you want to order a drink, They are always very rude and litteraly throw drink in front of you.

The appearance of the hotel is very nice, everything is within easy reach, bars, swimming pools, amphitheater for entertainment. The only thing is that the beach is a little far away, about 5 minutes' walk. Some small food and drinks are served on the beach for those who do not want to have lunch in the main restaurant. The pools are very clean, there are enough sunbeds and shade. The slides for children are very good.

Unfortunately, what I mentioned above is the only positive thing about this hotel.

The food is so monotonous and boring that after 7 days you don't know what to eat and you start to get annoyed. Grills are mainly liver and chicken, and the cheapest fish is trout or frozen mackerel. Grilled meat is mostly overcooked and dry. The toasters are all slow and broken. The restaurant never organizes themed food nights such as Asian food, barbecue nights, fish nights, etc.

The worst thing in a restaurant is that you have to wait in line for an hour for food, worse than during Corona when there was no self-service.

Waiters in restaurants and bars never approach to serve you, for every drink you have to go to the bar yourself and wait in line.

Animation in the hotel is poor and boring, it should be much better for a 5-star hotel for families with small children.
Internet weak

We arrived and were given a free upgrade to a family room. Perfect as 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Really nice and clean.
Water park perfect for kids
Give out food like 6/7 times a day so our 1 year old never went hungry
Nice buffet everytime. I actually gained more weight which I need to loose.
Staff are overworked and probably get underpay so leave them a tip. Overall excellent.
Pics of hotel are exactly how it looks.

they are very kind and smiling Hilal and Serkan. The hotel has lots of greenery, facilities for children and adults. the place is beautiful, it has everything you need for a pleasant and complete vacation. the staff is very diligent and really just work and do everything to make the guests happy. the internet is very bad. the problem is big crowds, so there is a very long wait in line to get food. Kovid protection measures are at a high level
