This is a superb self catering villa don't miss out. It suits large groups. Well maintained, furnished and has everything you need to have a superb holiday. Swimming pool, tennis court, pool table, gardens, kitchen, washing machine, BBQ etc. etc. Everything here is to a very high quality. All rooms have their own bathroom which are all very generously sized and finished. Off street parking for several cars. It is a very quiet peaceful location on the edge of a very friendly village. The centre of the village has a local market (not every day), enough shops for all food and drink, chemist, church etc. A short walk away is a river beach with a Cafe (car park for the lazy too). There is another beach at nearby Gois. We made this the centre piece of our holiday. We flew into Lisbon and spent 2 days there before getting the High Speed Train to Coimbra and about a 40 minute drive the the villa. We then had a week staying at Zororo before getting the train to Porto and flying home from there. While at Zororo we explored the local markets, restaurants and the countryside which is very like the Cotswold's in the UK. It is a very attractive part of Portugal. The River Beaches make up for it being inland. While there make sure you spend a day at Coimbra it has the most fantastic historic buildings. The roof of Coimbra University is worth the walk up the Bell tower. Trains in Portugal are excellent and very good value. Get to the station early to make sure you understand the train carriage numbering system to board the train at the right place.

Our family party of seven plus 3 month old baby, had an absolutely amazing time at the Villa. It is sumptuously furnished and comes complete with many entertaining activities. The pool is beautiful and we spent many relaxing hours lying around it on the sun beds. The kitchen has all the equipment you could possibly need and we made the most of the brick-built barbecue on several evenings. The local area has some interesting places to visit. Overall we had a wonderful time.

Having visited Zororo a few years ago, my girlfriend and I decided to return once again. It was another relaxing week and a total escape from our busy lives in the UK. We enjoyed visiting local villages and had a great day out in Coinbra. Would once again thoroughly recommend this place!

I stayed here in July 2012 with my husband and son, and it was absolutely idyllic - beautiful, luxurious house with spacious, air conditioned bedrooms overlooking lovely sweeping valley and mountains. Beautiful swimming pool, gardens, and even their own small vineyard. Tanaka was the most wonderful host, and provided superb meals as we were B&B guests. We stayed here as one of our children was taking part in Eurogym 2012 in Coimbra and we wanted an out-of-town retreat so we were travelling there every day; it far exceeded our expectations. We intend to return again in the future to explore this beautiful and peaceful area more.

Some years ago I travelled to Lisbon on business and since then have always wanted to go back to see more of North and Central Portugal. At last we managed to get the chance to go back and we started our holiday at Zororo and then drove down to the Algarve and stayed in a Timeshare resort for the second week. The quality of the accomodation at Zororo put the Timeshare to shame. The bedrooms and bathrooms are to a very high standard as are the lounge, swimming pool area and pool/recreation room. If you decide to eat with Kevin and Tanaka you won't be disappointed with lots of local fresh fruit and vegetables and home made preserves. The local restaurants are good and the prices much better value than those on the Algarve. This is a great area for walking or cycling it reminded us of the Cotswolds but with better weather and a bit more rugged. The roads are all good and it was an easy drive on toll roads down to the Algarve for our second part of the holiday. Make sure you visit the local historic sites and markets to get a flavour of what is on offer around here. As always in Portugal the local peole are very friendly and welcoming. All in all a very peaceful and relaxing holiday. Philip
