We visited the ruins of the chateau as a family with 2 small children. The ruins were found after a short but pretty walk through the forest. They were interesting to see, the domed Cave, the largest of its kind in Alsace, was closed as it is breeding season for the resident bats. We could still see into it however.... More

Half an hour by car from cosmopolitan Basel, Le Morimont is the ideal place for those seeking a calm and inspiring place to spend some days. Outstanding setting in the middle of a beautiful little valley, with forest patches and agricultural fields being the only surrounding landscape. Very well restored 200 year old medieval tower, with exquisite decorated rooms and... More

At the end of a potholed road you will find a very individually renovated hotel with friendly people, good food and wine. Interesting ruins near by, ideal for walkers and golfers. The kind of place you want everybody to know about, but don`t want everybody to go to!!!

The breakfast buffet is well stocked and if the weather is nice you can have breakfast on the terrace The wooden stairs can be somewhat noisy if there are a lot of... More

Highly recommended for a special weekend / short holiday in a lovely calm hotel lost in the middle of nowhere! A beautiful place; particularly good to relax, to bike, to go for long walks. A car is not a must, can be reached by train/bike from France or Switzerland. The staff is lovely, the service is good, the rooms are... More

this place is for a special kind of guest. Very secluded. Nice sunny rooms, comfortable bed, no TV, no closet, small bathroom. Homely breakfast. A car is almost a must. There are lots of nice sites to visit. Staff is very helpful and will inform you about what to do.
