Location of this hotel is the best thing it got going, the place is small and cleaned but it definitely can improve and become a real resort.!
The service is the worst part of this place, as with other reviews i saw before booking the main complaints was the restaruant service and the previous reviews are correct, I have never been in Hotel with such a terrible service! They have very limited personal to attend the guest and not to throw the workers under the bus but they really need to understand what job they are in.. they have zero attention to the guests at the restaurant, unfortunately during lunch I had to go the kitchen and asked for a Menu the server saw me take a seat at the table, I waited 10 minutes to see if she would come up to take my order , she never did, I left got on my car and went down the road t0 Las Olas Hotel and Restaurant to have lunch!! as write this is 7:40 at night and I order dinner at 6:50.. perfect example..!
There are no pool towels available and no pool service to get a drink.. I spent 2 hours in the pool and no one came by to offer anything..!
is really too bad the owner have not understand the concept of service, they need to hired more people, because the location and the hotel itself is nice.. but they need improve on every amenities..

Views and place are very beautiful, unfortunately service at restaurant was not very good, food is average. Communication when making reservation was really poor and not accurate. Seemed to be under staffed. Although staff was nice we waited over an hour for a meal for 9 people

The hotel has great views and the staff is very friendly. Room was clean and very spacious, with a great balcony. Bed was comfortable. We felt that it was over priced, but it’s December. A few things that might need a little improvement. Only one small mirror in the bathroom No YouTube/ Netflix / small tv/ bad signal No toiletries, only soap Towels a little hard/ ragged No hair dryer Only one trash can in the room Food was ok pool was nice. Great views
Beach was beautiful. Need to go down a lot of stairs to access to the beach. Make sure you are in good shape to take on the task. The hotel needs to have a sign to notify visitors.

The restaurant closes at 7pm. The food is a little ordinary, the pool is small and has no lights, it feels dirty, there were two native dogs from the area that are large, they can be friendly but one is not used to seeing those big dogs, there is very little maintenance in the hotel, the rooms are comfortable but there were toads on the terrace and we didn't go out at night anymore......the truth is I wouldn't go back, I felt a different atmosphere, it didn't seem to me, the hotel service, the room was not delivered to me They only gave me the key, I think they have to invest in customer service, concierge, maintenance, lights in the pool, filters in the pool, the access steps for the beach do not matter because the beach is beautiful...... I definitely wouldn't go back

The manager Connie and her staff were excellent. They responded quickly to any requests. All were polite and hard workers. They came to the pool to ask if we wanted a drink. The food was good. I would come back here! The roads are undergoing a lot of construction and sometimes it takes a while to get here.

At the end of a stunning four day unforgettable experience of El Salvador our tour company (Epic Tours) booked us in for our last 3 nights at Los Mangos, recently opened in May of 2014. It was the brain child of the owners of the tour company and every last detail was outstanding. We stayed in the block offering blistering views direct over the beach below to the crashing waves of the pacific. Every last detail of the room, the location and angle of the building, the space, the quality of the fittings, the combination of rock, slate, tile, wood and glass was belaboured over i am sure many hours, as it all fit together perfectly. Even the two smaller rooms at the back with no view seemed very spacious comfortable and well appointed. Meal times were a joy and the staff were so pleasant and accommodating. We even had a surf expert come over to help us how to surf - luckily the waves were at an all time low otherwise i would never have even ventured in. Two falls and i was all done but enjoyed watching others in the group master quickly the lessons and get up even fleetingly on the boards. The swimming pool was like bathwater and its infinity edge with the drop to the beach below was stunning. On both nights we had sunsets you only see once in a few years with oranges and pinks to die for. The owners are going to put four more rooms later on the rest of the land and that seems like a great idea to bring it up to 10 rooms, probably attractive more to groups. I could not fault a single thing and in the morning it was less than 3 hours drive to the international airport for departure. The entire trip through the country was building up with incredible experiences one after the other up to the crescendo of the last two nights with our group all coming from far and wide.Congrats to the owners and the staff - you created something spectacular.

Hotel Los Mangos was the perfect place for our group's surf camp. Ricardo and Esther (the proprietors) were extremely accommodating and had other activities available for us. Staff was also helpful. Rooms are large and clean, beautiful views from the balcony and the pool and access to the beach are fantastic. Certainly "off the beaten path" in terms of access to get there but the secluded beach rarely had other people there and we were often the only group, which made the stay seem like our own little paradise retreat.

We stayed here to surf punts mango.this is the only hotel closest to the spot and is so far away. About 30 minute walk plus 40 minutes paddling on black water. In the middle of nowhere. First night of our stay while me n husband were sleeping ....at about 12 at night I heard a loud noise like someone was outside n woke up...then again.....all was so dark outside....all the sudden a guy brakes in our room , I couldn't believe it,,,yelled to the top of my lungs and so my husband, ...we thought we were gonna get killed....a terror movie,,. The guy closed door and I hear "no problem"...stood up, got dressed, came out...the guy tells me "I'm the security guy I thought there was no one there sorry"....Jesus....never more staying there. Told receptionist next day and I guess this happens often there. Don't recommend this place

My husband and I stayed here on our last visit to El Salvador. The hotel room was clean and more aesthetically-pleasing than the majority of hotels we have visited there. The grounds, pool area, and view are wonderful. The beach is great...no rocks and private. We arrived at night, which I would not recommend. This hotel is accessed by a dirt road and it would be easy to get lost if you are not familiar with the area. Restaurant served typical Salvadoran food...nothing special. Service in the restaurant was slow and food was served with attitude. Following breakfast, no one came to bus our table. When we checked out hours later, the plates were still there...along with flies. I would say Los Mangos is above average for choices in El Salvador, but my rank of "very good" is a stretch. I would give it 3.5 if it were possible.

The views and beach at this hotel were simply breathtaking. It’s advertised as a luxury hotel but at its best it is basic. I believe that for the crowd that was there they did not have enough staff, the food was just ok & took forever to come out. We drove 7km on a very rocky unpaved road & instead of being greeted and brought up to our room we were brought in to their office to pay the remaining balance for our reservation (we booked on booking.com and were under the impression we had already paid in full). This definitely could have been handled at check out.
