Baron Palace Sahl Hasheesh is often celebrated for its exceptional amenities, including a variety of pools, quality beachfront, and a range of dining options, all maintained with impressive cleanliness. The hotel's location is consistently lauded, offering scenic beach proximity that enhances the guest experience. While opinions on value vary, with some questioning the all-inclusive package, others feel the cost is justified by the hotel's luxurious atmosphere, replete with live music and elegant decor. Service is another highlight, with staff across the board receiving accolades for their professionalism. However, some guests suggest the rooms, especially bathrooms, could benefit from updates.

We had booked the Baron via Tui as part of a package and arrived very late on 29th August, our wedding anniversary. As we had booked with Tui we had a private car transfer which was extremely easy and arrived at the hotel from the airport within about 25/30 mins, all in the dark and we appeared to be driving through building sites at times but when we got to the front of the hotel and went through the security gates the hotel looked beautiful.
From there you do nothing, our bags were taken care of, we went through the security scanner and then into a huge reception area lit by a beautiful chandelier and straight to the reception. Greeted with smiles even though it was late, we had a welcome drink and cold towels brought to us by the lovely lady on duty in the lobby bar. Check in was painless and everything was explained. We had a choice of going to our room to freshen up or straight to the late dinner but we chose room first. Porter took us and our luggage to our room (2308). Room was spacious, spotlessly clean, cool and very nicely laid out. Decided to go down and find the late dinner which it looked as if we had missed but we discovered later that we might not of, it was just we went to the wrong restaurant!
This hotel is beautiful and they can not do enough for you. Mohammed, our room guy, ensured that we had everything that we needed every day, we always had plenty of water and our fridge was topped up with anything we had used the previous day. There was a plate of little snacks when we arrived which we ate that night and a large platter of fruit which we didnt. Several people have said that the fruit never gets taken away - it doesn't but we asked Mohammed to clear it and he did - you just need to ask. Our toiletries were always topped up and we had clean towels etc every day too.
We didn't use the pools much we tended to go there late afternoon around 5/6pm to use the shower by the pool to wash off our beach shoes, sit and have a drink from the bar and then get rid of our towels etc, so can not comment on the atmosphere etc but the pools were always spotless, even late in the day, the pool guys always had a smile and said hello to you and the beds around the pool were very comfortable (wood with thick mattresses and attached pillow).
We spent most of our time down on the beach and had a cabanna each day. The guy on the beach (mostly the same guy) greeted us each day, took our towels off of us and sorted our cabanna out with a smile and brief discussion - he would also check with us throughout the day to see if we were ok. The guys from the pool bar would come down to the beach several times a day to see what drinks you would like and we usually had a cool box with a couple of waters and a pepsi and sprite to start with - after a day or so they just brought that to us without us having to ask.
The house reef was really good most days for snorkelling and you could walk out to it fairly easily - so take your snorkels etc with you - you will also need beach shoes because you may have to cross some rocky bits to get into the water. We saw more on the house reef than we did on our boat trip out to a reef.
Restaurants - we ate at the red sea restaurant (the buffet) for breakfast everyday (they have a large inside and outside seating area), spotlessly clean throughout. We always sat outside for breakfast just under the lip of the building in the shade. The waiters who looked after us always greeted us with a smile and ensured we had tea and coffee and even offered to get our juice most days, but we liked to choose. The breakfast selection is vast, you will always be able to find something to eat!! We also had a couple of lunches there again the selection was vast and you could sit inside or out, our waiters always got whatever drinks we requested too. We ate there three times in the evening, because of trips and not knowing what time we would be back etc, again the selection was vast and presentation spot on.
We also ate at the Italian, Mexican, the BBQ grill restaurant and the Asian restaurants - easy to book with the conceige either the day before or on the day. All really nice, fantastic selection to choose from off of the menu and good size portions (I found that some of the portions were too large for me on some occasions). We ate lunch most days at the pool restaurant and again the selection was huge from a menu, cooked to order, although most were very large portions. You will not go hungry at this hotel, the selection of restaurants is good and the menus are extensive. We ate outside for every meal, which I love doing, and at the time of year we went, there were no bugs to annoy us whilst trying to eat.
Bars - we only visited the pool bar, the salsa bar some evenings- they normally had music performances of some sort, and the lobby bar. All were good and we could get whatever we wanted to drink. I can not comment on whether they had everything but they certainly catered for what my husband and I wanted.
Check out was easy, we did pay to extend our room until 6pm as our flight wasn't until 11pm and our pick up was at 8 (reasonably priced). So at six our bags were collected from our room and we went down for a drink in the lobby and checked out and then went to the red sea restaurant for dinner, as we could then suit ourselves as to speed with which we ate to get back to the lobby in time for our pick up.
Pick up was again a private transfer and the driver collected us early and ensured that we got to the airport in plenty of time for check in. He explained that he had to get us there by a certain time because it would take us some time to get through the security process. We ended up using the fast track service they offered to get through security which was worth doing but would be very costly for a family.
Did we have any negatives - no not really, the staff were always friendly and would speak with you, including the gardeners who did a fantastic job. The guys who come along the beach, I did notice they go around the pool to, trying to sell you massages, trips, fish foot cleaing, and salt cave became a pain, but they did eventually stop asking if you had bought already or if you were firm (oh and if I as a woman on my own when my husband wasn't with me they never asked). The only improvement that I could comment on is to have a shower station and toilets nearer to the beach as you have to come back into the hotel for the toilet!
Would we go back - yes definitely, although it was a large hotel (for us anyway) it was quiet, no pushy animation etc. For those who say it is expensive - yes it is but you get what you pay for. For those who want lots of entertainment this is probably not the place for you.

After a long stay at home due to the new world situation, we managed to arrive at Baron Palace in Hurghada.
Even from the start, the staff paid a lot of attention to make sure we have a great stay there.
The beach was very nice, with sand ( only a few hotels have that) and it was great for our children. The entry in the water was smooth and even the people who cannot swim would enjoy observing the fishes. The reef around the hotel is not very great but still you can enjoy it ( always look at the side that is on the see).

The Infinity bar & restaurant was great. Every time it was too hot outside we would take shelter there, where children could stay in the pool (in shade) and we could have a drink. This was also our preferred restaurant for the dinner. The staff at the Infinity restaurant & bar was great. They pay a lot of attention to make sure we get all what we need and they also made a lot of jokes :)).

But there are some things that can be improved
1. We booked on a la cart restaurant one evening but when we arrived there it was required to have long trousers, even if we were the only guests at the restaurant. The waiters there were pretty aggressive and upset me a few times.
We have been to 20+ similar hotels and we did not encounter such behavior.
They offer long trousers from their side but if you have 36 degrees outside it is not fun to wear long trousers. We are on vacation after all, not to a formal event.

2. The food at the main restaurant was not that great. We spent most of our nights at Infinity restaurant.

3. There was a weird smell on the way to the room, most probably due to disinfectants or old carpet.

4. There is no place for washing when coming from the beach which is pretty unusual for a hotel that is placed on the beach. I'm sure they can find a way to add a place where you can wash your feets when coming from the beach.

The Baron Palace Sahl Hasheesh Hotel is one of the best hotels I visited in Egypt and abroad, starting the design of the buildings, hospitality of the staff, cleanliness of everywhere, location, beach, sea, pool, room amenities, food and quality of everything. It was a family trip, we had 6 rooms for 3 nights, adults and kids enjoyed every moment of our stay. Hotel is great, luxurious and for sure will go there again and again. The cost as well was so reasonable for the services and quality of everything.

Regarding the COVID-19 procedures, all staff are wearing masks, they check temperature for all guests entering the hotel and the restaurants in every meal, all luggage got sanitized, room service are not allowed except if you ask for them and they bring the towels etc packed in plastic bags, even the entrance with the car and licenses checks they received via holder with no touching, sanitized and brought back same way.

Really a place to be visited not only once.

This was our second visit to this hotel and it once again was fantastic. Everything from the welcome, to the food to the quality of drinks etc etc is just superb.
The staff go out of their way to provide everything you want. We visited during an Egyptian Public holiday which meant the hotel was at capacity and whilst the Red Sea Buffet was hectic it was never short of any food or clear tables which is purely credited to the amazing staff and managers and guys keeping the floors clean and of course the chefs on the front line and also in the back keeping bowls full and always presented well. Special thanks to Head Waiter Amr and all that side of the Red Sea Rest. All A La Carte restaurants were exceptional especially the Italian and Egyptian. We also visited the Mikado restaurant but were disappointed with it considering it cost us an additional £100. There was only us 2 in and it is impossible to sit at the show tables due to the design of them but we tried it. I actually think the food we had in other restaurants was better so it should be made part of the premium AI package. Guest relations are great Oskana is so sweet and friendly and efficient remembering your room number as is Mohammed the pool drinks dynamo who remembers what you drink and when after day one and goes everywhere at 100 mile an hour keeping everyone refreshed. you could mention so many lovely people as no one does not take the time to say good morning and ask how you are. It was nice to speak to the managers as they were moving around the hotel. The grounds and pool area is kept immaculate. Some rooms could do with updating but they are comfortable and clean and have all you need We are already planning to come back hopefully in October.

I came with my wife for two nights and we definitely made the right pick to unwind and relax in a very spacious and relaxed resort which almost each and every area present a very high standard of luxury in service and product. Scent, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff are super present across the resort. The animation team along with the excursion providers (glass boat, yoga, stretching, salt cave) touch base with us and did not pressure or over sell anything they gently explain what they provide, their location and if u agree they give their number in case you decide. We went for the salt cave as it sounded new and authentic compared to where we live and it was unique and good experience. The breakfast buffet is quite massive while adhering to Covid 19 protocols and senior management were present to greet and check on you while dining. Check in and check out was super fast and the take out lunch boxes offered were a very good gesture for travalers driving back to Cairo. The music on the pool lounge / bar did not match the scenery or the Era (mostly whitney Houston) and upgrade to music styling or a more sophisticated USB playlist will def. Enhance the experience. Prior to booking, the sales office in Cairo quoted a rate that is way higher than booking.com and when I explained what I see online they seemed uninterested to adjust or clarify further, just stating they never heard of this rate and actually with booked it (B&B). Thank you for the short vacay and looking forward to come back again one day!

Wes visited for a 60th birthday celebration, as soon as we walked through the door we were greeted by several staff to make us feel welcome and to take our bags to our room.
The hotel is beautiful and the staff couldn’t be more attentive, you can’t lift a finger without someone coming over to help you.
The maintenance was second to none, it’s the cleanest hotel I’ve ever been in.
This was our first holiday with our baby and we felt so safe, the staff loved him it made our stay very enjoyable and would definitely consider going back next year.
Food was great and so many options with the buffet and separate restaurants you can reserve prior.
We also visited the grand aquarium which is definitely a must see!

Arrived beginning of February. Weather was great during the day, bit cooler when the sun was down.

People working at the hotel are super friendly, speak different languages and go the extra mile! No waiting time at buffet, a la carte restaurants are quiet, super tasty and variation plenty.

At night there is nothing to do, so the animation team takes you to Hurghada and arranges entry in different discos for very reasonable prices. They also come along and make sure you get home in one piece.

For the kids they arrange all sort of activities during the day, always smiling and giving their A-game!

No bad points really. During our stay they were painting and renovating small parts to keep everything looking new.

We have just returned from a 7-nights stay at Baron Palace Sahl Hasheesh. The holiday was far beyond our expectations, mainly because of the staff there.
To begin with, we had a Swim-up room which was very beautiful, mainly because of the heated pool, giving the fact that the sea was a bit too cold for us. As soon as we arrived, we received some vouchers, which were mentioned here by several tourists. We found them very useful and original; it was the first time when we received this kind of vouchers from the hotel, especially because of some services such as a haircut, massage or laundry, which are very expensive at the resorts.
We also had access to the Baron Club, a very nice, intimate and select area, with appetizers, cakes and drinks. However, we had a timetable in the room and there should have been different things depending on the hours: Oriental delights, afternoon Tea, etc.
The restaurants are all amazing, especially a la carte ones. We had the chance to dine at all the restaurants, except the Infinity/BBQ one. One of the disadvantages of the Main Restaurant was that the food was not very diverse, especially at the lunch and dinner, there were the same live stations. The best part were the desserts, especially the Oriental ones, Baklava, which had different options everytime.
One day, when we had a trip to Luxor, we had a very long day and we arrived very late, losing the reservation for the Italian restaurant, but the staff was very helpful, and they invited us to the Egyptian restaurant, which was amazing, tasty BBQ and many local appetizers.
We really appreciated the desserts at the Italian restaurants, one of the best ever (Chocolate cake) and they even cooked a new risotto, based on my desires.
The Mexican, Asian and Japanese restaurants were also very good.
All the staff of the restaurants were really helpful, receptive, attentive, and one of them, Mahmoud, came everytime to us and spoke Romanian with us.
We had the Gala Dinner for NYE included and the set-ups for the desserts and appetizers were beyond imagination. As main dishes, we had options from any international cuisine.
I would also like to mention the staff at the bars, Samir from the Infinity, which was smiling and entertaining everytime.
The animation team was very cute and they were always inviting us to the daily program, as well as making show on NYE.
Some of the most important persons of our holiday were the girls from the Concierge, Tatsiana and Natalia, they helped us a lot. They would respond anytime to our inquiries, making restaurant reservations and arranged the PCR tests for us on last minute.
We used our Premium all inclusive vouchers on the last day, the laundry was amazing and mister Hany from the hair salon was very receptive to our desires.
We were also invited to the cocktail of the manager. We found it very important, they came to us and asked if we were pleased with all their services. Feedback is the best and most important part for the development of anything.
The manager and the heads of the departments were always around in the restaurants, keeping an eye on everything.
Another positive aspect was the cleanliness of the restrooms, the napkins were always aligned and they smelled amazing.

After 2018, we stayed again at this fabulous Hotel in Sahl Hasheesh. We booked again via Amin Travel Zurich, which we also recommend very well.

We booked a Swim-up Suite like the first time and we were again speechlees about the great spacies room. We really liked the private access to the pool and also the frequently refreshed delights and fruits in the room .

As we were "Premium all inclusive" we had unlimited access to all restaurants. Everyone is very nice and food is good. The presentation is great and the employees are very friendly. The only thing they could improve is the seasoning. Some of the international food, like the pasta and their sauce could be more spiced. Also the meat is bareley salted. But nevermind, there is always salt and pepper on the table. Also the cocktail party with the management and the guest relations is always a nice guesture.

We also recommend the Subex diving center which is located within the hotel. Very friendly staff and the diving equipment is well maintained. We've done our CMAS* dive certification during the stay!

Covid: We felt very safe at any time. All employees are very protected face mask and the cutlery and also the beach towels are wrapped in plastic and sealed. Of course this is not very eco friendly but the situation demands for extra hygienic solutions.

We already booked again for November 2021!

This was our fourth successive visit to the Baron, the food and service was good, and our room(2108) was always kept spotless by our two house cleaners ,a bowl of fresh fruit every day put in the room, fridge also replenished daily .we didn't manage to get to eat in all the restaurants, the ones we chose were excellent, back next year to try the rest!
the beach was a great place to sun bathe ,good sun beds with shade if needed and waited on by Mahamid who never seemed to stop serving drinks all day.The pools were well looked after and spotless ,gardens and grounds were well kept by several gardeners. The waiters at breakfast were all very attentive ,making sure coffee and tea was always topped up, clean napkins for every table replaced after previous user. Will be back for sure!

Answer from Chris D

It’s an adults only bar and restaurant, next to the adults only pool. Open for drinks during the day and food for lunch. Very nice setting overlooking the beach and sea
