We stayed in one of the glass-walled cabins and it was wonderful— modern, well provisioned and very comfortable, with a fireplace, automatic blinds, fireplace and sink, mini-fridge and Nespresso machine. Truly a unique and once in a lifetime experience; a welcome two-days of luxury for us. In the midst of an active vacation of do, do, do, here was a two-day sojourn of just “be and enjoy.” The owners are there and clearly take pride in what they’ve built. We see their vision of the future everywhere, including the solar panels waiting to be hooked up to power the whole place. The food was good, and is included in the price. Our only suggestion would be for them to share the menu in advance and provide more opportunity for small variations/ requests. That being said, they were wonderful in accommodating Kim’s gluten intolerance. We suggest you go. Nobody can guarantee you will see the northern lights (we did, on the second night), but even if you don’t it’s still so worth it. We found ourselves talking about whether we could do an anniversary group trip here. We want to go back.

Property's Favorite Review
We first booked this trip in 2018, and due to Covid kept pushing the dates back until this year. Tobi, Lynn and Reimi went out of their way to be sure that we were happy. we Booked a glass chalet and were not disappointed... meals were very good and it was great to dine with all the other guests and compare experiences and make new friends. It's nice because it is a small and intimate resort i highly recommend doing the dog sled adventure as well as the wildlife rescue tour. Dress warm, because it can get really cold, but thankfully they supplied a full set of winter clothing and boots. If the Northern lights is on your 'Bucket List' then this is the place to go. Thanks Tobi, for making this trip so memorable. Also suggest a massage to de stress at the end of a busy day and I must say that when the aurora does show up. she is magical. Worth all the time and trouble it takes to do it. Memorable trip and a great staff.

Our time at Northern Lights Resort & Spa was fabulous, with the resort being in a beautiful rural setting not far from Whitehorse, with great amenities--wet and dry saunas, massages you could book, and several walking paths through gorgeous woods and fields. We highly recommend staying in one of the glass chalets to be able to see the aurora and the beautiful sunrises from your bed. The owners, Tobi and Lynn, did everything they could to make our stay memorable and thoroughly enjoyable, even putting us on a tour the first day we were there (because we were in Whitehorse to be picked up by noon) and also arranging a quick trip to Miles Canyon and a trip to the hot springs resort--two "add-on" trips we are so glad we took! The staff also did everything they could to make our time there special, and were warm and friendly and full of great ideas and information about the area. Each meal gave us the opportunity to meet and chat with the other visitors from all over the world, and the food was always creative, tasty and filling. We stayed four nights and were glad we did! Our very first night there, there was an unbelievable showing of the northern lights for nearly two hours. If you want to see the northern lights and enjoy the gorgeous outdoors of southern Yukon, this is the place! We'll never forget our time at Northern Lights Resort and thank the owners and staff for welcoming us like old friends and making our visit with them "the trip of a life time".

Northern Lights Resort & Spa is such a beautiful and special place. My mom and I recently stayed here and fully enjoyed ourselves. We were forewarned that the auroras may not make an appearance some nights, but we were so fortunate to experience it each night with a most spectacular showing on our penultimate night. The resort is beautiful with every amenity you could need. I highly recommend staying in a glass chalet. The owners, Tobi and Lynn, are the warmest, most personable hosts and they go out of their way to make sure your every need is taken care of - their staff are also wonderful! A special thanks to James, Adrien, Rami, and the rest of the lovely folks who took care of my mom and me. If you are contemplating a trip to the Yukon and/or desire seeing the Northern Lights, you should without a question stay here. This resort is 5 star and you will be cared for well.

Such a perfect haven to end our summer adventures in Yukon ! Our hosts and their team have been so friendly with us, our cottage was like the one in a fairy tale. Sauna & massages did restore our sore bodies after our long weeks trekking. And mother nature did even reward us 2 nights in a row with beautiful northern lights : eventhough it was only the end of August, these auroras were plainly visible & very active ! What a gift before going back to France ! Thanks a lot !!

Northern Lights Resort & Spa is an incredible place. You feel like family from the moment you arrive. The setting is gorgeous - all the cabins have a beautiful view of the mountains and meadow. The cabins are large and very comfortable. The food is hearty, thoughtfully prepared, and delicious. The main lodge has beautiful views and a lovely spa. Most of all, it is the people who make this place so special. Tobias and Lynn are excellent hosts: they are always nearby and frequently check in on their guests. James, the chef during our stay, came out during each meal to ensure that everything was to our taste. Our night guides, Adrien and George, were a delight. They stayed outside until the wee hours of the morning, entertaining us with stories about the resort and showing us the constellations in the sky. We were lucky enough to see the lights on two nights of our four night stay, but the stay would have been worth it even without an aurora sighting! My mom and I will be telling everyone we know about this place for years to come.

One of the best places I've stayed at. I stayed in the glass chalets and absolutely loved staring out of the windows at night looking at the stars and Aurora. Tobby and Lin are some of the nicest and welcoming host. The place is gorgeous and clean. James, our chef always made yummy meals and our tour guides George and Adrian where all knowledgeable and great company. 100% would come back if I came to Yukon again!

Simple European elegance in a big window private chalet that means you can lie in bed and gaze at stars and the aurora. Sitting on the chalet sundeck allows guests to enjoy the view of the forest and big sky. Quite a treat for city dwellers. European breakfasts and, if you're lucky you'll get a marvellous dinner. If you're really lucky, you'll get Fred's arctic char specialty. This is a very well-run resort, small and with great staff who are engaging and full of smiles. It is 20km. south of town so factor in some transit...worth it! One suggestion: the chalet is not refreshed every day. It would be great to come back to the bed made up and coffee and teas replenished. (This may have been a function of low staff levels post-Covid.) Would recommend this resort and look forward to staying there in winter and watching the Northern Lights by campfire.

You know that feeling when you get to a place and know it will be special, and describing its charm, beauty, and joy to others will be next to impossible? This place is just that! An incredibly peaceful, relaxing, cute, and clean cabin awaited us. The hospitality from Tobi and all the staff are also what make this place a gem. Delicious breakfasts, and we even had the privilege of enjoying a dinner service during our stay. Fresh, home cooked meals with a German influence. Nature surrounds you, your cabin is modern and well appointed, yet retains the charm of a cabin in the woods. We enjoyed our experience so much that we booked another stay later on in our trip. That’s when you know it holds a special place in your heart! Amazing!

Where do I start. Everything was just amazing. Tobi snd Lynn are so friendly, so accommodating, do pleasant… I can go on and on. Our chalet was spotless. The bed was so comfortable. Our chalet was well stocked with whatever you may need. The property is so quiet and so peaceful. They have an on site chef who prepared an amazing dinner, salad with an amazing homemade dressing, delicious bison bolognese and a fruit dessert with shaved chocolate. Breakfast was a very nice light European style breakfast. My husband and I love to travel and we just spent 2 months on the road. Northern Lights, Tobi & Lynn, gave us our best stay of this trip and sit up there with our lifetime best stays. Top notch. Can’t say enough good. Would love to return in the winter!!!
