Stayed here as part of our Holland America Alaska Land and Cruise Combo. First the hotel is old. Construction was going on and so we were dodging workers and construction materials. Room was adequate with nothing added. Restaurant was also average but servers were very nice and attentive.

I stayed here with my kids. My daughter spotted a full grown bed bug crawling on the top blanket. We tried to immediately alert the front desk, but there was no answer so I had to walk down to the front desk. I have not yet received a call back from management regarding their concern or an apology. Im angry because now we may have brought them home in clothes and luggage as we were not offered cleaning services at the hotel. I have bites all over my arm and my daughter does on her body as well. Furthermore, I paid full price for two nights here, it was not covered by Health insurance.

The place was dirty, dusty and one of the people in our party had bed bug bites. We went to the front desk and told them there was no soap and we didn’t get an I’m sorry or anything . They just seem like they don’t care one way or the other. It needs a severe cleaning and update. Better training for there staff. Not a good place to stop. Holland America should find a different hotel to go to in Whitehorse there are other ones there that looked nicer.

During our land tour of Alaska, our accommodations were to be in Westmark Hotels. Apparently, the Whitehorse Westmark is not owned by Holland America , and does not come up to the same standard as the other hotels we stayed in during our tour. Even before we arrived, our guide told us ‘this is the worst hotel you will be staying in’. The lobby was worn and generally beat-up. The carpeting on the stairs and hallways was stained and worn through in places. Our room had been partly renovated, but was still old and tired. There are other hotels in Whitehorse that looked better. The location is pretty good but generally Whitehorse did not seem to have much to offer.

We stayed here for 3 nights for a business trip. The room was very dusty, with a film on every surface. Even one of the beds had a film of dust. The dust was never cleaned, even though we had asked for housekeeping to pay attention to the dust. The furniture is very dated, the little fridge doesn’t fit under the counter but juts our completely. Felt very dirty overall. We also had a half-used bottle of lotion in our bathroom when we arrived (is there one in every room)? Do not recommend this hotel.
