Lovely and quiet setting near all main attractions. Marielle is the ‘hostess with the mostest’ and made us all feel quite at home. We visited at the end of June and beginning of July (a great time to visit) and were pleased by the genuine reception and overall welcome we enjoyed. Great accommodations and hospitality that made us all feel... More

Just a charming Inn in a perfect location for exploring Old Quebec. We stayed 2 nights in late June, 2016. The Innkeeper, Marielle, is a warm, friendly host who is was so helpful to us on our first visit to Quebec City. Just a couple of blocks away from Le Frontenac, Dufferin Terrace, Citadel, and everything else beyond, it was... More

Stayed two nights at Maison du Fort. The hostess is extremely friendly and helpful. The location is perfect in Old town. Parking is down the street in an underground for $22 per night. No elevator so you need to carry your luggage up to your room, not a big deal for us but maybe for others? Well taken care of... More

We stayed there 3 nights:: our room at the front downstairs was light and quiet. The bed was comfortable and there were generous toiletries. There was a night light which was really helpful navigating the way to the bathroom in the night. Coffee and cake for breakfast which we took back to our room as there was not a lot of... More

We just spent 3 nights at Hotel maison du fort and would highly recommends this establishment. The Inn is charming, very clean, and close to what you want to see in old Quebec. Marielle, the Innkeeper is delightful, helpful and presents a wonderful breakfast of breads, pastries, juice, yogurt and coffee and tea each morning. And of course Oscar the... More

My husband and I stayed here for two nights after our cruise. The location was perfect to explore old town Quebec . The place itself was so warm and wonderful! Our room (room 6) was so spacious and clean. The decor was charming and keeping with the towns historic theme. A welcome addition was the kitty , Oscar, who visited... More

Marielle greeted us as we walked in - she had seen us pull up on a side street. We left our car on the street for a few minutes; long enough to unload our luggage. We then drove a few blocks to an underground parking garage - you have to provide a credit card to enter and leave. It cost... More

Maison du Fort is an excellent place to stay in Quebec City. The location is ideal - about 2-3 blocks from everything in western old Quebec. And the hostess was very accommodating. She reserved our tours, gave us advice for things to do, arranged taxis and was just pleasant to be with. Room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Bed was... More

Maison du Fort is so quaint and charming! The landlady is very kind and helpful. Hand knitted booties await you at the front door so that your boots can dry next to the massive radiator in the foyer. Every morning there were fresh baked goods for breakfast along with tea and coffee. A great way to start the day! Just... More

Marielle is a wonderful host. Our train arrived very very late due to delays (approximately 11pm) and we were so worried about being unable to access the hotel. Marielle left us a helpful note at the door with detailed instructions. In the morning, we were greeted by the smell of fresh coffee and baked goods. The location is close to... More
