Detailed Reviews
We stayed in Loft 203. Overall, stay was pleasant, would likely stay again if in the area.
Pros: fantastic location, right above Cows and Jean Coutu, in the heart of downtown Quebec City. Convenient to shops, restaurants, etc., much to do within walking distance. Curiously, despite location, flat is quiet, even on a weekend night, and only faint shouts or car noises can be heard from below. Comfortable to sleep, comfortable beds. Despite ++ smoking below and smoky smell outside room, no smoke smell inside room, although we also had an air purifier we travel with. Kitchen is very well-stocked with good-quality utensils, plates, and many accessories including rolling pin and oven mitts. Nice to have the oven, and vent fan as well. There is actually a powder room in the main level, as well as the main bathroom upstairs. Enough toiletries/tissues/toilet paper provided for first night/day, as well as some washing up liquid and dishwasher pods. Washer/dryer in bathroom. Windows are big and open, lots of natural light was nice.
Cons: while loft was overall clean, some lapses. Floor in main area was sticky and needed wiping down with paper towels (no mop), old coffee in coffee maker (disgusting), some of the hangers and cupboards were broken (i.e. hinges disconnected). No extra linens, only one blanket for the bed, and one small, thin blanket for the murphy bed (more/heavier would have been nice). Different thermostats for bathrooms + different areas of the loft, but we weren't really able to adjust the heat, was quite hot throughout the stay. Concierge did try to help us resolve it, but we were only there for a few days, so just opened the windows. Parking is a bit of a walk, and difficult to "move in" if one is driving, but such is the nature of downtown Quebec City. Shower is a bit awkward, door lets water out through a hole at the bottom, and took a bit to figure out the showerhead situation. 360 circular staircase took some getting used to, not good for those with mobility issues or fear of heights! Was also not able to access terrace with door codes.

This beautifully open loft apartment is the perfect location for a visit to Old Quebec City and the location is absolutely one of the best features. Enjoy delicate pastries or crepes in the morning, some good pub food and a pint of the local brew for lunch, and a decent steak with a good wine all within a 5 minute walk. As for sight seeing, the ramparts of the city wall, Petit Champlain (yet MORE shopping), Citadelle de Quebec, and Chateau Frontenac (a MUST see) are all 3 - 15 minutes away.
The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen including a coffee pot and a Nespresso machine (bring extra pods if you use it much), so eating in is an easy option. There are plenty of large arched windows to brighten the place during the day, though there's not much of a view with buildings so close together in this part of town. The furniture is very comfortable as are the beds. The place comfortably sleeps 4, though climbing up to the loft area requires going up a ladder (no stairs).
We found the place neat, clean, and ready when we checked in a little after 5:00. Before you get check in information (door code, keys, etc), the company requires you to email ID and some form of security deposit around 24 hours ahead. You'll have to pay for parking, but Place D'Youville has a parking garage for about $20 CAD/day. Be aware that you may need to carry your things about a 3 minute walk from parking if the road in front of the apartment is closed for major events like the summer music festival in July.
Our family HIGHLY recommends this as a great place to stay.

Clean and comfortable. Check in was easy though be aware the street it is on is closed to cars during the middle of the day. The closest place to park or be dropped off is about a block away. Lots of shopping and restaurants right outside. Our unit was just as pictured on the website. It is well equipped with dishes, pots, glasses, towels, hair dryer, soap etc but you do have to bring all of your own food supplies for cooking. All that is there is 4 Nespresso pods which were not enough for our 2 days/2 adults. The building was quiet and secure and a great base for exploring Old Quebec.

The apartment is stunning with beautiful windows and modern amenities. The customer service was top-notch. Unfortunately, they were a few issues during our stay. The pull out bed was missing a wheel and so we had to put its mattress on the floor. Despite multiple requests to have it fixed it wasn’t during our stay. We tried to fix it ourselves but the bolt was stripped and we didn’t have any tools Also, the main bed was quite uncomfortable. The mattress definitely needs to be replaced. The platform bed is old and squeaky; given the open floor plan, this meant that the first person up was bound to wake up the others. And finally the air conditioning did not work and it took a few days for someone to come out and fix it. It was quite hot & humid especially in the upstairs bedroom where there was no fan or airflow. The filters needed to be cleaned for it to work properly. Once the maintenance person came (on our 2nd to last day there) the air conditioning worked like a dream.
I’m giving three stars because for the money I paid I was disappointed. The apartment certainly was large & had a lovely fully stocked kitchen; however, we did not sleep well due to the issues mentioned above.
The apartment is right on busy rue St. Jean in upper old town. 206 is facing the back so you do not have street views, but it is nice and quiet without the street noise. There was some limited noise from neighboring guests and in the hallway but overall it was relatively quiet.
I had checked in advance & was told I would be able to drop off luggage outside the building. However, when we got there, the street was blocked off as a pedestrian zone so we were unable to access the building directly. We had to park a few blocks away and walk down with our luggage. You enter a code to get into the building which has an elevator.
Overall, I won’t stay here again. The location was terrific, but for the price we paid & the issues we had I will try somewhere else next time. Someone else may have better luck though if they don’t have the problems we did!

Les Lofts 1048 has some definite negatives.
The AC is not strong enough to keep it cool upstairs where the bedroom is. It was actually uncomfortably warm sleeping at night.
Communication is not great when there are issues. Our AC wasn't working when we arrived late afternoon so we immediately called the phone number. It wasn't until the next day sometime that someone came and we didn't hear back from the company until approx 40hrs later.
There is no parking on site.
There is nowhere to store your luggage if you arrive early or flight is later.
Check in isn't until 4pm...period!
There are no instructions how to lock the door upon leaving your loft. We had to fiddle around for quite some time trying to figure it out. We weren't the only ones having trouble. Our neighbours were trying to figure theirs out at the same time
The spiral staircase going up the staircase inside loft is very narrow. Little difficult to get suitcases up and down
The positives are
It located in the heart of the action
It is pretty quiet with the windows closed
It has 2 bathrooms (1 is a half bath on the main)
It has a washer and dryer
It seems very secure.
It is aesthetically pleasing on main level
Overall, I don't think I would recommend this rental to my friends as it was just too uncomfortable sleeping with it being so warm upstairs

Bonjour JanetP924 ! It sounds like your experience at Les Lofts 1048 had its challenges. I apologize for the discomfort you faced due to the AC not cooling the upstairs adequately and the delayed response to the issue. Your feedback about the lack of clear communication and prompt assistance is duly noted, and I understand how frustrating this can be. The absence of on-site parking, luggage storage, and limited check-in times can indeed be inconvenient for guests, and I'm sorry for any inconvenience this caused you. Additionally, the lack of clear instructions on how to operate the door lock and the narrow spiral staircase could also be challenging for guests, especially with luggage. On the positive side, I'm glad to hear that the location was convenient, the place was relatively quiet, and it offered amenities like multiple bathrooms, a washer/dryer, and a pleasing aesthetic on the main level. Your feedback about the security is also reassuring. I truly appreciate your detailed feedback as it helps us identify areas where we can improve our services. I regret that your experience did not meet your expectations. Please know that your comments will be shared with our team to ensure we address these issues for a better experience for future guests. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. Mylene Soucy Front Desk Director Les Lofts du Vieux-Québec

We were seeking to find a nice loft in Quebec City for a weekend stay combining business and pleasure. Les Lofts 1048 proved to be exactly what we were looking for... A nicely appointed, clean and well maintained loft within the old city walls. The central location on rue Saint-Jean was perfect for accessing all areas and amenities of the old city within walking distance. Parking was just around the corner and because we had planned a couple of activities outside of the city, the ease of coming and going from our accommodation was very smooth. We stayed in unit #305 which faces Northwest and this was perfect for relaxing with a good view and feeling separated from the busy street below. We loved everything about the loft and the only (hopefully constructive) critical remarks are that the lamp shades in the bedroom need changing (they have been a little abused) and the bathroom lighting is quite dim. The bath could definitely use another light over the tub/shower. Otherwise we were completely satisfied and would definitely stay here again.

This facility exceeded our expectations! Customer service from the telephone booking agents, the attention to detail in the rooms, cleanliness and location to all the amenities in Old Quebec made our stay one to remember. The rooms are unique, very comfortable and the decor is tastefully done. Much more fun than a cookie-cutter luxury hotel room! We will definitely be back!

The apartment (#305) was beautiful and the location couldn't be beat EXCEPT for this major problem: the bath/shower was a torture chamber. The shower door is fixed in place in such a way that the only way to turn the faucet and shower on or off is while you are actually standing in the tub. That might not be so bad if it wasn't impossible to figure out how to operate the controls--sometimes the water came out of the faucet and sometimes it rained down on you from the shower head. And forget about regulating hot and cold. I emailed the management requesting instructions but received no response. If it hadn't been for this issue I would highly recommend the place. We did not find the construction noise next door to be excessive. I would caution anyone bringing a car to Quebec to figure out parking before you arrive. Les Lofts requires you to pre-book parking, which was not clear to me from their website when I made our reservation. But there is overnight public parking available in a large underground lot a couple blocks away.

Les Lofts' method of collecting the security deposit is completely unsafe. The day before they send you an email threatening to cancel the reservation if you don't give them all the credit card information to secure the deposit (with which they could do whatever they want). They do not have any system to make a secure online payment, they ask you in writing by email for the card number, security code and expiration date. When we expressed the unease that this caused us, they only gave us the option of going to their offices (far from the apartment, where we have to walk with hills and suitcases) to make the payment there. Our surprise was that the central office did not have any secure payment either (neither a card machine nor any other system), we had to tell them out loud all the card details so that they could enter it manually into their system, without any type of banking security. of our data.
To put an end to their lack of delicacy on this issue, after reviewing the apartment they did not release the $300 deposit, and we had to wait for it to be automatically canceled a month after the end of our stay.
Sadly, they were not receptive to providing solutions to all these inconveniences, nor did they apologize or offer any compensation, despite asking for it.

Hello!
You can let your luggage at the Hotel du Jardin on the Boulevard Charest.
This is a lock space that the employee present that day can open for you. When you want to take your luggage back, just let that same person know.
Best regards,
The Loft Team
I believe I did see one on the counter, but if you message them from the site they are very quick to respond. Their kitchen was super well equipped.
Yes, Les Lofts are located within the walls of Quebec City. Great location, beautiful space, super clean. We highly recommend!
hi, you don't need to arrange it in advance. you can park on the street when you arrive, and then either park behind the building (outdoors, unmonitored site, don't know the cost) or head to place d'youville indoor parking garage 2 minutes away by car (because of the numerous one ways). there was always room there whereas the parking behind the building got pretty cramped up and I believe you must leave your car keys as they move the cars around. hope this helps!
