Nice stay with a great location perfectly situated within walking distance to old Quebec City and all of the attractions. The pools are lovely outdoor heated in the winter and such a nice addition. The breakfast is nice as well. Parking is located off to the side of the building and isn’t the best for larger cars. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The room service options could be better and more tasteful, with a less price for what was provided.
This hotel is in the perfect location for a vacation to Quebec City. It is an easy 3 to 5 minute walk to the old Quebec wall and even closer to the Parliament building. The room was nice with plenty of room for our family’s large luggage. The staff was all friendly and helpful. We used the valet parking which was easy and reasonably priced. It has all the modern amenities you expect in a Hilton, and is close to the old town charm.
The Hilton Quebec underwent a fairly significant reno since my last stay and for the most part, I like the new modern touches and updates that they have done to the common areas and the rooms. What I liked: Nice Diamond upgrade to a corner room. Very good sized room with plenty of space, including a good sized bathroom/shower area and living area. The modern look is nice and everything was in working order. Bed was very comfortable and room was prepared as requested (feather free). No issues with in-room heat and shower temperature control/pressure. The view from the corner room is amazing. Great housekeeping throughout the stay. Reliable WIFI. The executive lounges is still top notch with commanding view of the parliament and old Quebec - no major changes to the food and beverage service there. Bar/restaurant on site - close to the best of what Quebec City has to offer. Great complimentary "a la carte" breakfast offering in the main dining room when the lounge is closed. The menu is a tad too creative, but food quality is good, and service top notch What to watch for/could be improved: Hilton went "Marriott" by removing a proper work desk and replaced it with a low, modern looking table. The setup is not most conducive to semi-long working hours - and the chair not the most comfortable. I was at the hotel at a relatively slower time so executive lounge not operating every days, and the bar/restaurant has a limited, and overtly creative dining menu... (nothing wrong in offering a simple dish like a good old club sandwich...) The X factor: Staff was very friendly throughout the stay. For those used to the more tenured staff, many chose to retire or move to something else when the property closed during the renos...To be clear, the new staff is really good - just pointing out that as with the rooms and common areas, it got modernized a bit...…
This was our 8th trip to Quebec for Winter Carnival. We have stayed at the Hilton each time and always receive the best service along with a great corner deluxe room. The hotel is in the perfect spot for enjoying Old Town, Shopping/Dining, snowshoeing, taking a stroll or just relaxing in your room while gazing through the room windows the multi color lights twinkling across the city and sometimes an extra plus of watching the snow fall across Quebec. This along with many other reasons why we return often to Quebec and stay at the Hilton. We wanted to give a shout out to some of your superstar staff. Claudine welcomed us after our early morning flight, had the room prepared and provided information about the hotel and the Winter Carnival activity. Then you had Jean Rudolph Executive Lounge who was always available providing us with daily support no matter what our needs. He was able to arrange a rental car for us on a day when all the car rental places were not available, the man works magic. And of course, we could not forget Julie G in the Executive Lounge. She was amazing always making herself available, providing daily guidance/directions, making suggestions/ arrangements, all of which were spot on for our needs. Plus Julie checked in on us daily, WOW. Julie and Jean Rudolph made us feel like family. Julie, Jean Rudolph, and Claudine elevated our stay to a whole different level that we did not expect. We actually did not want to leave. I want to say THANK YOU to the Quebec Hilton, it’s fantastic service and unbelievable staff. We have already plan to return for next year’s 2024 Winter Carnival and will be booking corner deluxe room for 😊…
We have stayed here twice. The location is very convenient. The hotel was recently renovated, and the rooms are very modern and clean. We used the outdoor pool which was nice but it’s on a very low rooftop so don’t expect views. Our room had a great view of the parliament, even though it was on a low floor. Price seemed a little high (especially with fees, taxes and parking) but reasonable for new years. The staff is friendly and efficient. Would recommend.
I have to start with the views from the 14 th floor river view room was amazing!!! my in-laws absolutely loved the views and the decor of the room was superb!!! Will absolutely be coming back again , and will recommend this hotel to family & friends.
Well what a disappointment. A top rated hotel that’s where it ends. No room service. Not enough coffee in the room for two people. Check in process archaic. Poor English speaking receptionist who didn’t even recognise the UK!!! No water in the room either complimentary or charged. Very limited menu in the dinning hall(it could never be described as a restaurant) Need to take a lift to find the ice machine. Pros The room is great. House keeping amazing. Location great.
Let's start with the positives. Amazing views from nearly every room Tremendously engaging staff in the restaurants, concierge, bellhops, management Good size and well appointed suites Crazy cool ( literally) outdoor heated pool at -51 weather Ann Masseuse.. incredible Superb location CONS Hilton.. what are you doing ending rooms service? How can you call yourself a 4 star luxury hotel and you can't get food to your room? That is one of the joys of being in a hotel. I can get everything (and more- free parking, early and late checkout) that was offered at this hotel in an AirbnB for about 20% less and with no tipping ( I compared a luxury high end 3 bedroom 3 bathroom airbnb literally around the corner and they gave me more there than Hilton- Coffees, teas, waters soft drinks breakfast things and lovely snacks...) Our suite had a fridge, coffee maker and microwave r.. but had nothing extra.. water, milk for coffee, tea.. Plus.. if I had wanted to go out and get food, there were no cups? plates? spoons? Why are there drawers and cupboards with nothing in them? No Mini BAR- such an easy profit maker for hotels A number of TV channels were frozen (CNN/PBS ) and no ability to mirror your device to the TV but still trying to sell movies- seriously-who is paying for TV movies? People will pay for room service and high end mini-bars CON- Turned into a POS When we arrived after an overseas flight, no restaurants were open in the hotel and of course no room service and it was -40 outside! I got a little "hangry" and Guillame came to the rescue and opened up the Grab n Go for us. He even offered to comp items which we politely refused. We were happy to pay for it, but we felt sorry for the father of the small children who was looking for food and was not as lucky as we were to be accommodated. Yes, Covid has changed the labour landscape, but hotels and restaurants and the service industry need to reconsider their working conditions, pay scales and benefits in order to attract and maintain staff. If hotels don't maintain their cachet and inherent differences to AirBnB/short term rental market they will find themselves quickly losing business to them. I am still a high level member with another hotel chain ( Accor/Fairmont) who so far do not seem to be following suit. Pre-Covid I had maintained a higher level with Hilton but will not be looking at Hilton again based on the lack of value it offers when compared to AirbnB. Want to thank the staff however for their friendliness, professionalism and warmth. All were truly lovely and went out of their way to be helpful- it's Hilton's corporate choices that we are disappointed and will vote with our feet. …
Great hotel and location, all the staff are helpful and nice, my kids were in love with the game room. Walking distance to park, ice skitting ring, and a lot of restaurants. There are taxis at the door available are all time.
Just returned from a stay over New Year weekend. Hotel room was good, the gym surprisingly well equipped...only regret I didn't bring a swimsuit so I could try the outdoor heated pool! I want to recognize the concierge, Ms Julie, that found us a reservation for New Year's eve on short notice. A great restaurant, wonderful experience. My wife, daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and service (Le 101 restaurant).
