Based on reviews, I expected something different. Location was definitely the best part about this hotel. The hotel has charm and the history is impressive. However, the rooms are definitely on the very small side (cramped), although fairly clean but it misses on a few amenities that are standard with most rooms in other hotels (mini fridge and functioning tv).... Well placed and a hotel full of character from a bygone age. Easy check-in and olde world luxury. Room 214 was fine but a little small. Don't know what they did to the bed but its the most comfortable sleep that I've had for years, and it is sorely needed after each day of hill-walking in old Quebec. Breakfast was... More

I didn't stay here but I did visit the lobby which is authentically the same as it has always been. You can sit there and soak up the atmosphere if you want. Unfortunately I wasn't in QC on a Friday or Saturday evening as they have jazz in the lounge. Worth a visit.

Hotel Clarendon is in a perfect location, with elevators, too! Many of the major attractions on the Upper Level of Old Quebec are within a 10 minute walk. The front desk staff was extremely helpful in keeping us in the same room, extending a tour-related room to an individual-pay room. The hotel breakfast buffet is tasty and varied, including my requisite... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my week-long stay last December. The hotel has a classy old English atmosphere, is very welcoming and friendly, and very well maintained. The rooms are thoroughly modern with all the amenities one might hope for in a 4-star establishment, even in their most modest rooms as the one I stayed in overlooking the cathedral. The executive rooms... More

The Clarendon is one of the oldest hotels in Old Quebec City and has been updated and beautifully maintained. There is an elevator and they offer valet parking ($25) per day. The valet parking is very convenient, pay by the day and come and go as needed for one price. We stayed in room 121 in the front and had... More

I'm a bit torn with this review. Located in the Old City, the location absolutely can't be beat as it is near shops, restaurants, and other points of interest. The air conditioning was nice, especially considering we were there in the summer. Valet parking is available and the staff is both accomodating and efficient. The hotel itself is clean and... More

A clean, pleasant, tastefully decorated room got our Quebec City trip off to a great start. The decor of the main floor matches the photos on their site and doesn't disappoint. If you are looking for a modern hotel, this is not it. There's history here. While researching hotels, I noticed that many of the comments said that their rooms... More

Good points: - staff really friendly - room very clean - well located in the center of Old Quebec Bad points: - parking is very expensive, but there is the alternative to park for cheaper not far from the hotel - small room - no fridge - no safe in the room Conclusion: Recommended.

Convenient for downtown location. Parking is not included . Book the room directly with hotel. Do not book with Amola or booking.com as you don't know what you will get. They need 100% money upfront . Other hotels are available just 10 minutes driving .
