We booked 2 rooms and both were quite nice. The hotel is in the old part of Quebec, but on a quiet side street, not far from the Frontenac. Breakfast was very good, the beds were comfortable and the staff was helpful and fluent in both French and English. We have stayed nearby for a lot more money and we... More

Its position within the old walled city is ideal for a visit to Quebec but it would be unsuitable for anyone who cannot cope with steep stairs. The hotel comprises two adjacent four storey town houses in a quiet street close to the Chateau Frontenac and the boardwalk along the St Lawrence river. The stairs in both are steep and... More

Hotel Cap Diamant is located in two 19th century homes on a quiet street. It is just a few blocks from many of the things you would want to see. Parking is $17/day Canadian and is close . It is tastefully decorated with antiques. We stayed in a room with a king sized bed that was very comfortable. The hotel... More

A quaint old hotel, steps from all the old city has to offer. Quiet, lovely rooms, breakfast area overlooking a charming courtyard. Walk up to rooms, no elevator, but worth the walk. Close to shopping and restaurants. Listen to horse drawn buggies clip clopping by.

Quiet location 5 min walk from Saint Louis major street in old Quebec. They can't do enough to make your stay comfortable. Beautiful rooms edging Plains of Abraham. Breakfast in the lovely 4 season sunroom with backdrop of well groomed garden a la European flair. Beautiful period furniture throughout added a rich flavour to the experience. What more can we... First, let me mention that we are "senior" travelers who love a hotel that has ambiance and is indicative of the area we are visiting. This said, the Hotel Cap Diamant far exceeded our expectations. When we saw our room with the stone wall and the beautiful French windows, I was smitten. The entire hotel is very charmingly decorated with... More

Convenient to the Old City and the Citadel. There are steep stairs to climb inside the building, but they operate a concealed lift to get your belongings to the upper floors. If you're in reasonable shape you won't have a problem getting to the top (3rd) floor. The room we stayed in was on the small side, but we didn't... More

The hotel is in a lovely location in the old part of Quebec City, close to everything you'd want to see...and also near to many restaurants. We decided from the map that we could walk there from the rail station. Unfortunately we missed a turn and ended up phoning the hotel for directions. Now a question: what other hotel would... More

This hotel is situated on a quiet street within the walls of old Quebec, a couple of minutes walk to the heart of the old city - so very handy. Parking is available around the corner using a card provided by the hotel and payable when you leave. It is very quaint, and as others have pointed out there a... More

Summary: This is an excellent mid-range hotel in the best part of Old Quebec City, and is my first choice for where to stay in the Old City. --- I stayed at Hotel Cap Diamant for two nights with a friend in July 2016. Initially, I was planning on staying at a B&B on Rue St. Ursule or Rue St.... More
