Great location. Walking distance to everything shopping restaurants entertainment. We didn’t need transportation from via rail it was maybe a ten minute walk. Furthers place we walked to was old Montreal. Hotel was clean the room was huge. One bed. Requested 2 but I was traveling with my daughter so was told no. My only issue was the view room 210. We where literally starting at a wall with windows. Stayed two nights. Staff was always smiling and friendly.
This was a great little gem of a hotel. Super clean, well-appointed rooms with a very comfortable bed. Loved the little touches like the small (well-hidden) fridge in the desk and cute couch. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The only negative (and it's a small one) was that the room faced another building so it was slightly dark at times. Would definitely stay again!
This was a top notch experience. Front desk was always very helpful. The room was clean and modern. We had service every day. Bathroom toiletries were available. Breakfast was adequate – lots of carbs but free. Parking is a 4 minute walk in the convention center. Centrally located. The only downside was our room location – room 610. When we opened our drapes we looked into the pool area next door. Everyone could see into our room. So, the curtains had to be drawn most of the time.
We always return to Le Dauphin for our Montreal visits. The location is fantastic for walking everywhere - Place des Arts concerts (2 blocks north), Old Montreal (3 blocks south), shopping on Ste Catherine St, and many more sites + areas. It's a walkers dream in central Mtl, without that huge hotel busy feel of the chains. Very personable. We requested & received a 1st floor room which was very quiet & large, with a lovely sized bathroom too. It also has easy stair access for walking up & down to the large breakfast room. Coffee latte machine etc is now available all day/evening. All in all a great boutique style hotel choice at very affordable rates and with the usual amenities, although lacking a microwave if that's important to you. Just one thing that keeps it at 4 stars instead of 5! They have these small pseudo-leather high backed 2 person seats in each room. Trendy I guess. Please - change them for half decent 2 person comfortable & normal sofas! There is plenty of space for this and it's far more comfortable to lounge on after a very long day of walking & being a tourist. All in all, our go-to Montreal hotel.…
We stayed in an 'executive king room', which turned out to be spacious, quiet and comfortable (with a huge bed). The iMac in the room was a nice touch (and the free wifi worked well). The bathroom was also huge (almost wasted space!), although the bathroom door was made of glass, which is an annoying trend -- what's wrong with wooden doors and a bit of privacy?! The breakfast was rather basic, but I guess that's what you get when it's complimentary. I would have liked more options (especially diary-free milk or margarine) ideally. Overall a decent, pleasant stay.
In a group we stayed in this hotel for 9 nights recently for attending an International Convention at the nearby Palais de Congress being next door making the location so convenient. Rooms are well appointed with all amenities and the service is fairly good. Hotel does not have a full fledged restaurant and only serves cold breakfast which was quite good.
The location is great - you can walk to the port, the Fine Art Museum, Place de Artes. There is also great public transportation very close. The staff was all very kind. The room was super clean and very comfortable. We stayed in room 910, nice view and very quiet. An excellent value.
So can I just say that the bathtub was phenomenal? I went out to Lush to bay a bath bomb so I could live in heaven in it. It is the biggest bathtub I have ever been in. And the bathroom had its own separate shower. This feature alone makes it all the worthwhile. The room was huge and had a lounge area and it was nice to have the Mac in the room. The breakfast was included, but since it was the pandemic, it was grab and go and not a buffet as usual. but the pastries were really good. I did enjoy my stay. This hotel is very close to old Montreal - within walking distance. I parked my car when we got to the city and never used it until we left.
This is our second stay at Le Dauphin in central Montreal and this time we've left an awful chain hotel to stay here. Le Dauphin is what a modern, chic, reasonably priced hotel should look and feel like. The rooms are spacious, comfortably appointed, with modern bathrooms, everything is immaculately clean and little extras, like modern showers, heated bathroom tiles, etc. that make a difference. The staff is very helpful: Naomi was so pleasant, attentive and friendly when helping us book a wonderful room at the last minute when we've transferred from another hotel in Montreal. The location cannot be beat: walking distance to everything, the old Port, Chinatown, popular central streets, restaurants etc. The decor is simple, but makes for a comfortable stay and a modern rocking chair is such a cool touch. We had a very urban view with a bit of Chinatown entrance gate and it was super cool. Very good breakfast served daily, with plenty of food choices and excellent coffee. The overall environment is so pleasant: calm, quiet, modern, and well thought through. Love this little gem of a hotel, highly recommend.…
The room was absolutely clean and perfect. Loved the warm comforter and heated bathroom tiles. Great location to walk to restaurants. Staff at breakfast run a tight ship with everything fully replenished- with clean tables!
