4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

We stayed at the Dauphin for 4 nights and the access to the Jazz Festival and Old Montreal was perfect. The room was new, modern and spacious. The breakfast was very good with an excellent espresso/latte maker. Some instruction noise from the site next door but not very noticeable. Overall an excellent choice for the price.

We had a chambre superieure and we were quite happy with our room. I liked the hardwood floor and having a couch area to relax in the middle of our walking all day. The breakfast was sufficient with boiled eggs and St-Viateur bagels and cream cheese. There was also yogurt, fruit, and muffins. We brought our own cold cuts to... More

Check in was easy and we were a bit early. Rooms were available and they honoured our request for rooms on a low floor. Beds were large and so comfortable. 4 pillows reached. Loved the shower. Very modern. Staff were great and we were able to leave our bags after check out. Only a couple of blocks to Notre Dame... More

Central location, 5 min walk from old town, China town. Big and clean rooms. No carpet! Free wifi, complementary bottles of water everyday, 15 min drop zone just in front of the hotel...great services. A must go that offers very good value for money.

This hotel in located in a great location for getting around both Old Montreal and Center City. Very close to all modes of transportation (bus, subway, and train). The train station (we took side trip to Quebec City) was just 10-15 min walk (with luggage). Many chain hotels located in same area but this hotel was preferred because it is... More

I booked this hotel with a friend of mine in November 2015 as we were going to the F1 GP in June 2016. There was ABSOLUTELY NO MENTION on the hotel website that they were under construction or going to be under construction. The hotel seemed like a reasonable deal considering it was the F1 deal but wasn't out of... More

Awesome stay (July 1 - 5); great location - close to both the Orange and Green metro lines. Really close to Quartier des Spectacles where the Jazzfest was going on. Had 2 rooms - 105 & 106. There was construction going on next door - we could barely hear it in 106, but 105 was much noisier. So strange as... More

My teenage son and I stayed at the Hotel Dauphin Downtown on June 26-28. This was our first trip to Montreal. We had a great time. The hotel is right where you want to be in Montreal- in the middle of everything! Old port is a five min. walk, the metro (easy to use and cheap!) is right next door... More

Let's start with the one and only con. The construction! Yes, the hotel is obviously under construction, BUT once it is done it will be amazing if the rooms are any indication. Now to the pros... The rooms are extremely clean and very modern right down to the I MAC with a bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Most notable and rare,... More

Booked the hotel 9 months ago, as we had tickets for the F1 GP and rooms in Montreal were like gold dust. Consequently the price was quite high $CAD 350 per night, for a 3* hotel. When we arrived the place was like a building site - cardboard walls in lift, plastic sheets on floor. The room itself was very... More

Staying in Quartier International

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier International
Designed to connect and beautify unused space, today the Quartier International is like a transversal piece of modern art. The distinctive design flair is most apparent at its focal point, the Palais des Congres, a convention center and retail space with a multi-colored glass exterior and an equally bold interior motif. Outdoors too, the Quartier is friendly towards public art exhibits along its stylish, plotted city squares, with extra-wide sidewalks meant to encourage long strolls and shaded benches available for absorbing the atmosphere. Fresh air and promenades characterize the area, from the foliage of Victoria Square to the fountain of Place Jean-Paul Riopelle, while the restaurants along Rue Saint-Antonie Ouest and Metro stops modeled in the Parisian style give off European glamour.
