This is an unusual, unique BnB in a great location. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming but the house boy Paul is an asset. He makes amazing food for breakfasts, hand making the jams, preserves and sauces. He is friendly and makes you feel special on your stay. We had basement rooms that were cool and comfy. The shared... We had the Jardin de bouleaux room on the main floor by the front of the property. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the staff was attentive and patient, especially with our many questions. The no children/no smoking is a plus. Breakfast is plentiful, fresh, and delicious. We were within an easy walk of Old Montreal, the bus... More

We attended the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal this month and stayed here Friday-Sunday. It was perfect. Robert and Luc are wonderfully gracious hosts and the B&B is lovely. I wish we had more time to spend there, the garden and hot tub looked incredibly inviting. Breakfast was amazing every day. Their staff were super attentive and helpful as well,... More

I spent 2 nights on a recent April weekend at Maison Des Jardins. I had a small, but very clean and quiet room on the first floor. There was a shared bathroom, which was spotless and very clean. My room had a very comfortable bed, Flat Screen TV and excellent WiFi. The hosts served a delicious breakfast both mornings, Crepes... More

It is a large room with with a king sized bed and it it the first room at the front of the property. The front window faces out onto Logan Street, but outside noise... More

Everything is just perfect about this place. The most important thing is that you don't feel like staying in a hotel. You feel at home. Breakfasts were amazing (Paul is the best). The atmosphere created by owners during the breakfast made us stay there almost till lunch time chatting with both owners and other guests. The room was just amazing.... More

The B and B is close to everything, shopping, the Metro and restaurants are nearby. The have a sweet, friendly and quiet dog who was a real delight. Luc is a massage therapist... More

Excellent on all apsects. I highly recommend this place. Luc, Robert and Paul are really nice people. Even Giai (a large Labradoodle) is really cute! The place is very clean, spacious and has everything you need. I'm going back during warmer months so that I can take advantage of the back yard and hot tub. Located in the heart of... More

After a 9 hour harrowing drive up to Montreal in ice, sleet and snow, it was so comforting to be greeted at the door by Robert, one of the owners. I knew then that we could just relax and make this place home for a few days. Robert was the most gracious host. His warm smile and quiet charm made... More

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighborhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomized by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
