Great 2 night stay in a well appointed, clean, comfortable room. Robert and Paul were great hosts. They know how to treat you. Breakfast was excellent. Everything was well worth the price. Convenient location to subway system.

We had an amazing stay at this wonderful B&B. The room was spacious and clean and our hosts were so friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were amazing. The backyard was a wonderful bonus as was the jacuzzi. It is so nicely located and within easy walking distance of just about everything. We are definitely planning to return and as my... More

We had a fantastic time staying here. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was exceptional. Location is within walking area of shops and restaurants in the gay neighborhood, which was safe and enjoyable. Shared a pitcher of sangria just down a few streets from the B&B. Great all- around. Highly recommend and will definitely stay here again if... More

This b&b offers a home to guest: kitchen, living room, bedroom, backyard, run by two friendly hosts. The whole place is lovely and warm. The breakfast is sumptuous and hearty. Although some reviewers claim that it is located in the gayborhood, it is about 5 minutes walk, it is on a much quieter street, and most of the guests are... More

When I visit a B&B or hotel, I'm always looking for a tiny aspect to complain about. I'm disappointed to inform you, that I cannot at this most amazing place. The staff are warm, welcoming, the included breakfast is always delicious, with something new every day. The beds are comfy and clean. The house dog is the most adorable of... More

We loved our stay at Maison Des Jardins. Robert and Luc were such wonderful friendly hosts. They were very accommodating with my husband's gluten allergy and made sure that he had a delicious breakfast. They were able to give us a few travel trips with maps and such of Montreal. The room and shared restroom were quite clean. I wish... More

This is an unusual, unique BnB in a great location. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming but the house boy Paul is an asset. He makes amazing food for breakfasts, hand making the jams, preserves and sauces. He is friendly and makes you feel special on your stay. We had basement rooms that were cool and comfy. The shared... We had the Jardin de bouleaux room on the main floor by the front of the property. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the staff was attentive and patient, especially with our many questions. The no children/no smoking is a plus. Breakfast is plentiful, fresh, and delicious. We were within an easy walk of Old Montreal, the bus... More

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighborhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomized by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
