Stayed for four nights last week. Excellent all around. Service was great. Very helpful (thanks Albert & Jo). Clean. Comfortable. Great location. Highly recommend as a smaller hotel. Street could be a tad loud at times, but that's par for the course for the location.

Extraordinary property located in downtown Montreal at a street full of restaurants... Beautiful building, the suite so clean, comfortable with impeccable decoration and a Nespresso machine... Staff is so nice and friendly... Great hotel really recommendable... Croissants and jelly at your door by morning as breakfast, delicious...

Stayed here for 2 nights. Great location - close to the metro and a 10 minute walk to old Montreal. The hotel is right in the middle of the bustling Latin Quarter so lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. The gentleman on the front desk was incredibly welcoming and helpful and spent quite some time with us discussing... More

Rue St. Denis in the Latin Quarter of Montreal is crowded with bars and restaurants, many a half-floor down from street level, and busy with young people -- a node to the nearby UQAM campus (Université du Québec à Montréal). Walk up a few steps and enter Le Relais Lyonnais' small vestibule, and you are in a small, classic European... More

Le Relais Lyonnais is a special combination of amenities, one that worked perfectly for us and one we would indeed recommend; but, make sure this combination works for you. The property is beautiful, especially inside, and the staff is helpful. That's the enchanting part. Traveling with our teen-aged son, we stayed on the top floor suite, away from the street.... More

Stayed in Le Relais Lyonnais for a night with family during a short stop in Montreal. Was not disapointed by this hotel as it is nice clean. Front staff was very nice and helpful, allowing us to have our rooms early when we arrived and showing us what to do in the area for the short time of our visit.... More

Great place to stay in the heart of the Latin Quarter in Montreal. Small room but had a nice walk in shower. Room service cleaned every day. Room was quite and temperature comfortable. Breakfast consisted of tasty croissants and muffins. Only drawbacks were no elevator and a step in the room that was difficult to see and easy to trip... More

This is our second time here and we liked it even better than the first. If you want luxury on a budget, book room 302. It has two separate rooms, free croissants, coffee and water, and its very own private deck out back. The location is exceptional - you walk out the door onto Rue St. Denis and its bustling... More

We were visiting Montreal for the first time and didn't want the typical big box hotel. Found this in the Latin quarter and couldn't have been more happy. Only seven rooms and we felt as if we had the place to ourselves. It is right on a very busy (happening) street. By that I mean every which way you turn... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
