Stayed at this hotel during a summer weekend with 4 guests.
We drove in, and there's unfortunately no driveway, so we parked on a side street and checked in. There's a $24 charge nightly. We were told to enter the garage, but didn't realize...More
My teenage daughter and I spent a few days here exploring the city and found it to be a perfect base. Close enough to the old town to explore on foot, but far enough away not to be noisy (despite being across from a hospital!)...More
We were pretty happy with the Candlewood, and will definitely stay there again when we return to Montreal next July.
The hotel is clean and modern. Comfortable beds, decent darkening curtains, a full kitchen with microwave, full size fridge, 4 burner cook top. A bathroom...More
Our room was a good size. Could use some renovating. Guests have free use of laundry facility, you only need your own detergent (which you can buy from the hotel desk). The desk area has items you can borrow/check-out to use in your kitchenette. The...More

Quartier des Spectacles / Ville-Marie
Also Known As
Candlewood Suites Montreal Centre-Ville Hotel Montreal ,
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and
exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.

No. Like others have said the kitchen is fully equipped and if you need any other utensils they probably have it by the front desk. They also have a "store" there where you can buy some things to make or bring to your room. This is not a "luxury hotel" where you get waited on, but the staff are very helpful to give you what you need. It's a great set up as a home away from home.
