Great location for getting to many different sites including Old Montreal and Notre Dame Basilica. The Metro station is 2 blocks away and is easy to negotiate. The Latin Quarter is great for its night life and restaurants. We had the Heritage suite which was like an apartment with washer and dryer, full kitchen, really nice. The breakfast every morning... We loved Amelia's room! This home is located close to tons of restaurants on Saint Denis, and within walking distance of just about everything you might want to do or see. Beautiful woodwork, and the breakfasts are superb! Hand squeezed mango and juice, fresh preserves, apple french toast, quiche, delicious omelets with fresh avocado...fabulous! Denis is a wonderful host! We... More

My wife and I just returned from a getaway to Montreal and couldn't have been more pleased with our accommodations - charming house with tons of historical character, terrific breakfasts, friendly staff and owner, and a great location. We stayed in the garden retreat which was a lovely suite. Would highly recommend.

The location was within walking distance of the city sights and museums! Denis and Michel made our stay very welcoming and you could tell they love what they do! Michel showed us the house, our suite and was very accommodating, Denis gave us some history of the house. The breakfasts were the best! Michel made mango smoothies one morning and... More

I stayed here for 5 nights for a work/leisure trip. The location is great- very close to the action on Rue St. Denis but just far enough from the noise at night. It was also very convenient for walking to ENAP and other business commitments. The staff is friendly, breakfast delicious, and rooms very clean. Being an old building however,... More

Stayed two nights at Victorian Heritage B&B in the garden suite. Lovely room, comfortable beds, large bathroom with shower equipped with three shower heads, one being a rain shower. This is a beautiful old building but occasionally we could hear the guests upstairs walking around and the TV. The garden is perfect to sit out and enjoy a glass of... More

This is a true B&B experience, we came for our babymoon and it was perfect. Quaint and charming 1800s victorian style building. Dennis, Michel and staff are all so warm and welcoming and do their best to ensure you have a wonderful stay. The breakfast is delicious they have one hot egg dish item everyday with many other choices from... More

We spent three nights here. Located in the Latin Quarter. Very close to restaurants and night life. The rooms were very nice. We had a two bedroom suite with a washer and dryer which was very nice. Denis and his employees were very nice and the breakfast was very good.

Victorian Heritage Bed and Breakfast is every bit as excellent as the many top reviews reflect - and more! Dennis and his staff provide a very friendly and supportive oasis, with clearly genuine motivation to help make each guest's stay comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms and suites are generously sized, with all the comforts of home. Dennis lives on the... More

Thank you for making such a nice review of my inn and for pointing out our central location downtown Montreal. I pay a lot of attention to the quality of the ingredients used to make the breakfasts and I am delighted to read that they were to die for. More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
