I do not recommend this place if you want sleep before 3 am. The hotel has a club in the basement and did not tell us even though they put us on the first floor. I went to sleep around 10 and woke up to heavy base after midnight and just had to wait it out.

The hotel more than met the needs of my niece and me. The room was large, with the two beds I had reserved. I had requested a feather free room and the receptionist checked when we arrived that the room had been made feather free before giving us the keys. Later, when I asked how I can get some boiled water for medicine I take, they sent up an electric water kettle. There was both a waste basket and recycling basket in the room. There were two sinks in the bathroom. The hotel was within walking distance or public transit of every place we wanted to go. There was one bus stop in front of the hotel, another across the street and yet another a block away. One metro line was about 3 blocks and another was about a 10-12 minutes walk away. One evening I even took the 55 bus the 3 uphill blocks from the metro stop to the hotel, since I was tired.

Hello, We just wanted to share our very bad experience in hotel 10 that we booked for our last night in Montreal before returning home. We booked it for its location, rooms size…and terrasse. When we arrived, we saw a very nice dressing of the terrasse and found it beautiful. We then asked how come the terrasse was so well dressed, with candles and lounge area. It was due to a concert that was plan on that night. As our bedroom is directly on top of the terrasse, we asked what time the concert was ending. Before midnight they said…ok so we could forget our food night sleep. Then we tried to access the terrasse, listed as “common facilities”. They told us that we could not access it as it was…a private event. We then told the hotel manager our surprise and insatisfaction as they rented a common facilities for which we had pay for, which will on top generate night disturbance. First reaction of hotel manager was to tel us we were wrong and that terrasse was not part of resident facilities. When showing the facilities listing showing it, the hotel manager said that we were confused and that the terrasse was not open 24/7… Long story short : we could not access the terasse, we did not sleep well, hotel manager display a wide range of bad faith which I just never encounter in any of my previous booking and we hasn’t been compensate of anything, not even a complimentary drink…just amazing. Worst experience ever !

Hotel 10 has been newly renovated and is in a great location. Our room was modern and clean. While there were many rooms available, the check in staff gave us a room directly across from the elevator. While they easily changed it, offering us a choice of rooms, why not give clients quieter rooms from the beginning. The greatest annoyance was the lazy bellhops. Asleep at their station with their eyes open would be a good description both on arrival and departure. On departure, with four pieces of luggage and my car at the door, the bellhop, sitting and not flinching, asked in a monotone voice if I needed any help. A good hotel would have staff simply help your customers.

My room was excellent, though I had requested a room without a connecting door, but I was given one and was assured that no one would occupy the room next door. Not so, and I was awakened at 6:15 by children crying. Not good. The breakfast, for which I was charged $27/night two days after check out, was really inedible: dried scramble eggs, a hot dog for sausage and fruit that seemed out of a can. I had been under the impression that the (inedible) breakfast was included--at no time was I told it wasn't, so imagine my surprise to receive a charge two days after check out. This is really not the way to please customers.

We were greeted by Dorothee, who delivered a perfect check-in. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the holtel well located, and have an underground parking. However, the room deco was a bit old, the shower was a bath-shower, the design of the room far from high-end. This is deceiving has we had the executive suite. To make it bigger, they simply merged 2 rooms.... they even let the 2nd bathroom to tell how they didn't work on the design.

It is really clean, our room was big. Love the ceiling, the spacious bath and the overall look. The check in/out was quick and easy. It is really close from place des arts and Festivals. I recommend it.

Me and my family (my father, mother, and sister) stayed at Hotel 10 in the later half of December. The hotel is amazing, very well located, and our stay was excellent up until our very last night. I went out on my own at night, and as I got back relatively late (11pm) and we had an early flight the next day, my family was already sleeping. As I got to the hotel, I realized I had forgotten my key card in the hotel room. You need the keycard to use the elevator, so I was stuck in the lobby, and went to the receptionist (Nadia/Nadja) for help. Now, the same thing had happened to my father a couple of days earlier, and the person he talked to was extremelly helpful to him, so I thought I would get the same treatment. I was really wrong. I went up to Nadia and explained the situation, and she responded with a face that can only be described as disdain. I tried again to tell her that if I only got to the floor my family was staying, I could knock on the door and someone would wake up and open it for me. Her answer didn't include much more than rudely telling me to leave the hotel (it was around -6°C and snowing that night, and I had nowhere to go). I tried calling my parents 3 times, but they didn't answer. Again, this time more worried, I told her to look up my father's reservation on their records (at no time did she think of doing that herself). I told her his full name and document number and she found it, but told me there was no way to know he was really my father and said that I had to leave. I showed her my ID (which, again, at no time did she think of doing that herself), which has my name and my father's name. She still didn't seem convinced and kept the same face of disdain though out the whole interaction. But at that point I was really desperate (what would I do, sleep on the street???), and I think she realized that, and told me that security would accompany me to the room's door and allow me to knock only once. If they didn't answer, I would be "removed". Luckly my father answered when I knocked, and everything turned out fine. But I have never been treated so poorly in my life, and I have stayed in hotels a lot simpler. I cannot understand why a hotel that seems so great would employ such a horrible person. Honestly, I think that decent behavior by the hotel staff is a way bigger priority than fancy infrastructure, and even though everyone else was perfectly nice, that one person completely soiled our experience. At no time was there any interest in solving the situation, except by "removing" me. I also cannot comprehend the difference of treatment between my father and I, and it really concerns me that it might be related to some sort of prejudice.

We stayed at the Hotel 10 for a weekend in Montreal. The good points: --location: next to St.Laurent, easy walk to the Theater District, the Old Montreal Ste Catherine Street for shopping (HR), walking to excellent restaurants on St. Laurent and Rachel Street, next to Chinatown, easy access from the 40 --parking: my vehicle was abandoned safety in the 20C underground garage of the Hotel for the weekend, Did not need the vehicle for the duration. --Room: spacious, clean, tastefully decorated, QUIET for a great sleep, beautiful vista of the Montreal skyline. Nespresso in the room and great shower. --Staff: professional and very friendly. Always available to offer assistance. --Security: the hotel has a security and safety protocol that made the stay very comfortable and safe --Cost: very good value for the room and very good price. The room and parking package offers great value. Will I return? YES, and for a longer stay next time.

Upon checking in, I was led to believe that parking was included with my stay. They stated I was a "VIP" customer from a previous stay (which included parking). After my 3-day stay, I was charged $100 on my card for parking. I explained my situation to the hotel manager (I was led to believe parking was included) and she would NOT honour the "VIP" status due to me going through Priceline. Beware of these extra charges! Not feeling like a VIP anymore...
