The room is lovely. It's modern and stylish in the typical W way. Very clean. However, I like to stay at hotels with good dining (convenient after a long work day on the road) and I didn't like the restaurant at all. The first dishes that I ordered were so bad that I ordered another meal, and it was only mediocre. They've tried to do an upscale comfort food thing, but in the process made the food simultaneously expensive and worse than the original comfort food. How do you screw up chicken parmigiana? The burger was .... alright. Anyway, next time I'm in Montreal I'll go back to my old standby of the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth, which has similar rooms but a much better restaurant.

there are a lot of things to like about 'W' hotels. In fact I have stayed in many of them all over the world. The W Montreal is good. It's not cheap but that's to be expected. Rooms are clean and the room staff, in my case, are wonderful. What is not so good is this... I'm here on business and the two rooms we have are paid for by ,y company. No problem there. I got the usual request for my credit card for incidentals again no problem, apart from when I checked my credit card statement. For incidentals for two rooms for ten nights, the W Montreal locked $9,475 from my credit card. This is totally overkill, and also unacceptable. I am a long time member of the Marriott Bonvoy scheme, so they know me, and I'd like to think, trust me. If I was here on vacation, this could totally screw up my holiday, leaving my credit card unusable. They offered to refund it but it will be locked for ten days and I have to deal with my bank to ask them to expedite things. The bank don't want to play ball of course. Not cool.…

I loved the modern vibe of this hotel. Customer service and thoughtfulness stood out to me. I’ve travelled a lot over the last few years and few hotels have demonstrated the high level of customer service i experienced here. Housekeeping was thoughtful and thorough. The restaurant meals were delightful and amazing service. Beautiful modern rooms. I would definitely come back and wish I could have stayed longer. Bonvoy membership was recognized and rewarded.

We had a fantastic stay in September. A group of us took about 10 rooms, including two EWOW suites which were fantastic. The service was impressive. Personalized and thoughtful interactions from the staff, and Felix from sales management was a superstar. For such a large and well respected brand, they've done a tremendous job of making this feel like a small boutique luxury hotel. We have plans to return soon!

I enjoyed an extremely comfortable suite with a superb view on Square Victoria. The work desk was big but the electrical outlets were a bit tough to reach. The breakfast buffet was fine with decent service. Excellent service at the bar for pre-drinks. I will definitely go back to this property.

Very dissatisfied with the W The hotel was overpriced and seemed more like a dirty dorm from the 80s We booked a fantastic suite for only $850 There was nothing fantastic about the suite which was a corner room with a chaise lounge set in the hallway The staff is extremely poorly trained and it’s hard to understand how this hotel is still Part of Bonvoy

We chose this hotel for its good location - 10 minutes walk from Saint Paul street, 20 minutes walk from Vieux Port de Montreal. It is very expensive, however, with small and inconvenient rooms . It was hard to find where to turn on and off lights near the bed, and it was hard to get out of the bed without hitting your head on the closet door, very closely placed to the bed. The most weird part was the glass door that separated the shower and the toilet from the room. The person lying in bed could watch whatever was happening in the shower and on the toilet. There was a curtain, but it was in the room, not inside the shower. This created an atmosphere of a sex hotel, totally not in line with the very high room rate.

Beautiful hotel and great location. We loved that there was a park and a Metro station right across the street. Very close to Old Montreal, but not in the middle of all the hubbub. It got pricey on the weekend, but we wanted the comfort and location of this type of modern hotel. Our Mega double queen was the perfect size for our family of 3.

We booked the W at the last minute and was very satisfied. While the room was small, it was very clean which is critical for us to relax and enjoy a two day get away. Highly recommend the restaurant. The French toast with lavender maple syrup was outstanding. The staff were all very professional and helpful.

We booked the fantastic suite for a girls weekend. Room was beautiful, roomy and bright. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room and windows have good sound proofing...you don't hear the noise outside or next door neighbors. Would definitely stay here again.
