My girlfriend and I stayed here for 9 nights in mid-July, 2006. Right from the first (toll free) phone call, I was impressed with the friendliness of the owners. Our plane arrived late at night, but they stayed up and waited for us. Upon arriving in Montreal, a bit later than planned, Shahrzad called me and offered to pick me...

My boyfriend and I stayed for a weekend at this hotel from the end of Sept. to the beginning of Oct. We had the Get-Away Suite, which was absolutely spectacular. We were only a short drive from downtown, which could be problematic without a car, and could come home to our beautiful room in this charming hotel after a night...

My family stayed for four days at this hotel in Montreal. The staff were very welcoming and went out of their way to offer information and advice. They certainly had more time for their guests than in many other hotels where we stayed in during our trip. The accommodation was clean and spacious and there were some thoughtful extras such...

This 'B&B' is really more hostel-like than anything else. The rooms are clean, average in size, and come with or without private bathrooms. Washer and dryer are available, and though the furnishings were cheap and ugly, nothing was gross or dirty. The property is located on St. Catherine, very far outside of town, in an area without shops or subways....

Stayed here with my child for two days in July 2006. This B&B is located quite far from the city, inconvenient if you are taking public transport and traveling with a child. You must take the subway and a bus that comes at most every 15 minutes. There was a diversion in the bus route during our trip and it...

Spectacular view of the fireworks from our room! We had a great time celebrating our 25th anniversary cycling all over Montreal and more from this great place right on the bike path, just over a kilometer northeast of the Papineau Metro station. The friendly staff lovingly care for this recently renovated big old granite former local post office building. It's...

If you don't want the "sterile" environment of a big chain hotel, this charming hotel is for you. The people who run this hotel are extremely personable, friendly, and helpful. We felt we had a "home away from home" and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This auberge/small hotel is owned by an amazingly sweet lady and the office is run with the same kindness. This was our first trip to Montreal and it rained the first day we were there. Rather than take the bus, Renee (in the office) insisted upon driving my father and I to the Olympic Dome! The owner took care of...

Staying in Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)

Neighborhood Profile
Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)
Named for the Olympic Stadium complexes built for the 1976 games, the Olympic Park and the surrounding neighborhood of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa) make up an invigorated area dedicated to "Space for Life." Around the Olympic Village's arenas and stadiums, Rue Sherbrooke welcomes exploration of its sculpture gardens decorated in the works of Jean-Paul Riopelle and its museum culture headed by the historical Château Dufresne. Maisonneuve Park offers interactive experiences at its bio-dome, insectarium, planetarium, and botanical gardens. For a change of scene, the gentrified space along Rue Ontario Est is packed with the city's newest, edgiest cafes, where an imaginative, youthful crowd sips foamy cappuccinos. A visit here is incomplete without stepping into the vast halls of the Maisonneuve Market, with flower stalls, wine depots, and local produce.
