We stayed at Petra and Daniel B&B for the Grand Prix’s weekend. There are plenty of good things to say about this special place: 1) The host: Petra and Daniel are very friendly and professional at the same time. They got this quality to make you feel at home without being invasive or too overwhelming. Petra gives you all the... More

We stayed at this B&B during our 3 day stay in Montreal and it was fantastic. Daniel and Petra were great hosts and went above and beyond the call of duty to help us and provide very detailed information on all of the things to do in Montreal and how to get there by bus, metro, and taxi. Daniel cooked... More

I'm not sure what I could say about this lovely B&B that other reviews have not already mentioned. I chose this B&B based on Tripadvisor reviews and they were spot on! I could not have made a better choice. On the business side of things: the Wi-Fi signal was strong, breakfast was wonderful everyday, they accommodated another guest's dietary requirements,... More

We just spent 4 nights at the A La Carte B&B with Petra, Daniel and M. Petit. This was a wonderful experience in every way. A La Carte B&B is a two-story home with two guest rooms and a guest apartment, situated on a quiet side street in the Montreal’s Rosemont area. Parking (no small concern for Montreal) is convenient... More

A La Carte was such a clean, and beautiful place to stay. We stayed on the second-floor fully-furnished apartment, separate from the B&B, but our hosts offered to let us join for breakfast anyways. Perfect combination of privacy with the comforts of a B&B. The food was delicious and our hosts were friendly and helpful. They provided suggestions on places... More

We stayed here in May 2016 for 2 nights in the Juillard suite on the main floor. Petra and Daniel along M Petit made us feel welcome even with our limited french. The accommodations are great with a comfortable bed, sitting area and en-suite in the suite. Breakfasts were delicious (pancakes and sausage the first morning and crepes the next)... More

Petra and Daniel (proprietors), were welcoming, fun, thoughtful and extremely helpful concerning what to do and how to get around in beautiful Montreal. The room was warm and tasteful and breakfast was delicious (among other goodies, Daniel creates an amazing strawberry crepe) and different each day. The feeling at A la Carte is professional yet homey; you can hang out... More

Always welcomed as at your place, Petra, Daniel, and of course M.Petit they made my family and me feel at home and wish to come back soon. Year after year we love more and more this B&B. Rooms and apartment are really nice and well decorated. And location is also good to reach easily several places in Montreal.

Staying at this bed and breakfast is a delight. The property itself is very nice, clean, and well located. It's a 5 min walk to the bus stop or a 20 min walk to the subway (Montreal has a very good mass transit system). The biggest reason A La Carte is great, however, is because of Petra, Daniel, and Monsieur... More

Staying in Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie

Neighborhood Profile
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie
Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie has one of Canada's most prominent Italian communities, with Little Italy concentrated along the convivial bends of Saint-Lawrence Boulevard. Known for its fantastic bars and authentic Italian fare, the domain includes the Jean-Talon Market, the largest public market in North America. Open year-round, sunny months see fruit and vegetable stalls set up outside the main chalet, while blustery weather draws crowds indoors to meat and cheese sellers, spices and truffles stalls, and for regional delicacies such as rare Charlevoix lamb. While the market dictates what's fresh for local restaurateurs, visitors can please more than their palates, taking in the Renaissance architecture and frescos of Madonna della Difesa, the picturesque Rue Saint-Rominique with its cheerful homes and splendid gardens, or the ornamented thoroughfare of Plaza Saint-Hubert.
