Due to business reasons, I spent several weeks in the B&B from February until May 2016. Nicolas and Philippe always treated me like a part of the family. Rooms and apartments were always clean and in very new condition. Breakfast was delicious and even parts of it home-made, like cake and croissants. The B&B is in the city center but... More

I recently spent 3 days in the Village in Montreal, & found a very delightful B & B on Montcalm Street. The charming Victorian home was very well maintained, & clean & ideally located for my interests being Old Montreal, & the Village. The hosts Philippe & Nicolas were very charming & so accommodating. Home made pastries, jams & custom... More

Philippe and Nicolas were excellent hosts during my stay in late June/early July. Parking is inside, and convenient especially if you're not planning on doing a lot of driving in the city. The neighborhood is lovely, the location is superb for the bars, clubs, and restaurants in the Village, Mtl en Arts (sidewalk art fair and sale), Métro station Beaudry,... More

My sister and I spent two nights here and loved it. Our room was comfortable and clean, and Phillipe and Nicolas were helpful and friendly throughout. Great location in the heart of the gay village, easy walking to the Latin quarter. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Would recommend.

I have stayed here many times. Phillipe and Nicolas are great. Everything is clean and breakfast is excellent. I would not stay anywhere else. BBV to means represents the Best of the Best in the Village.

Visited Montreal in early June with a friend and Philippe welcomed us immediately, guiding us into the enclosed parking which was convenient and accessible. We stayed on the first floor in a room with private bath and queen bed. The room had everything we needed, plenty of space for two and very clean. The balcony on the end of both... More

Breakfast is served from 8-10, whenever you want it. I loved that. I don't like having to get to breakfast as a set time, so it was nice to stroll down to breakfast when I ready. We stayed in a shared bathroom room (sink in room though). It felt more like an upscale hostel feeling - which I loved. They... More

From the very beginning, Philippe was present to guide us to the parking space and the tone was set for the weekend. He warmly greeted us, and invited us in. He gave us a tour of the house, what was available from the lounge upstairs to the patio. He made us feel like it was our home away from home.... More

I was treated like a long lost family member. Great place to stay and easy access to public transportation. The owners are well informed on the details of Montreal. I will stay here again the next time I visit.

From the moment we were greeted by Philippe, we felt welcome and at home. Bed & Breakfast du Village is better than any traditional B&B. Why? Because the owners have so much love and care for this place and for the guests. We were provided a tour of the building which included a sit down kitchen, the guest rooms, a... More

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighborhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomized by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
