Considering the long lasting pandemic situation, employees made my stay different. I would recommend the stay at any time, they are doing their best 👍👍👍🇨🇦 Ideally located right next to CAE Facilities. olivier
This is a very nice business hotel and it is conveniently located near the airport. The hotel staff was friendly. I did experience an issue with towels and wipes in the fitness center but I said something to the front desk and the issue was fixed immediately.
The hotel is located near a basically industrial area so good only if you need food and a bed near the airport. The room is clean, spacious, TV, bed comfort OK, good assortment of toiletries , ironing board, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Bottled water is free to members of the chain. Wifi is free. Dinner in the busy restaurant full of travelers was very good. Airport shuttle runs 24/7 every 15 minutes No lunch service. I inquired about nearby options and was told there are no other restaurants or stores nearby. I arrived in the midst of a snow storm so did not venture out of the hotel but on departing I saw a Tim Horton's across the street. I could have used this information. Having said that all staff pleasant and very helpful.
I stayed for 1 night on March 16, 2020. Upon arrival, I requested a room in a quieter area away from the elevator and ice machine. I was given a room away from the elevator and ice machine, but the room faced the highway. That was definitely disappointing. The traffic noise woke me up before the actual time that I had wanted to get up. The room was spacious. There was a king size bed which was comfortable. The pillows were not, but that being said, pillows are such a personal choice. There was a couch and a desk area. From a distance, the room looked clean. On closer inspection there was drink stains on the little table by the couch and on the desk/TV area. There was also a hair by the phone and pamphlets. I expected more from the Hilton Brand, as I had just received a email to say that in light of the global pandemic going on, extra cleaning was going to be done. There were no dining options for dinner within walking distance. I ordered the fish and chips. Mediocre at best. The breakfast is normally $20, and I think that is is usually buffet style, but in light of the health crisis going on, breakfasts were made to order. Basically you were given a choice of eggs, omelettes, bacon, or sausage, and toast. It would be helpful to have a temporary "menu" printed with all the things that are available, which I found out later included fresh fruit, juice, and probably more choices which I did not know about. The hotel did offer a shuttle service to the airport. I took the 1:15 shuttle on March 17. I requested the driver to drop me off at the Air Canada Domestic flight terminal. His response was that there was only 1 drop area for Air Canada passengers. I thought that that was kind of strange. When I went to check in at the Air Canada Counter, she told me that I was in the wrong area to check in for my domestic flight. Hmmmm.....not a problem for me to walk to right area to check in, but if I had mobility issues, it could be a problem. As much as I normally enjoy the Hilton brand, there were a few disappointments with this stay. There is the plus of being close to the airport, but I would rather stay in a hotel where there were things to do within walking distance.…
Found Dining area unhealthy. Thtas what I saw on my arrival, felt very unsafe. So I didnt dare to eat from there. Parking not included, Breakfast was also not included for that high price. cleaniless of room was fine.
