The room is cozy but not large. The Bathroom is small. Has a refrigerator. Bedding very comfortable. The Air Conditioner is so noisy we had to turn it off. Centrally located with lots of shopping & Restaurants near by. Zero view. Compared to our Harbour Front in Toronto last few nights, at least one Star lower.

When we went to the restaurant around 8 a.m., there were three unoccupied tables by the window. So we asked a female staff to give us one of them. But she turned down our request and said that there would be a lot of guests to come. We had a small table and that made me uncomfortable because the table... More

My husband and I spent the weekend in Montreal and decided to stay here based on a recommendation from another hotel where we usually stay that was already full. Our room was really nice and clean with a comfortable bed and a nice, though small, bathroom. We used the valet parking and they were very prompt in delivering the vehicle... More

Small 'boutique' hotel (but it isn't small) on main road so have to stop 'round corner' to unload cases and valet parking (never keen on handing keys to rental car away - Mustang Convertible in this case). Nice, clean, fresh, modern room and nice hotel overall. Bit of a walk to furthest points of 'downtown' but lots in local area... More

I will learn from this mistake. I love Le Meridian and booked this without checking for a stay in Montreal. I am only glad I booked a flexible rate so that I was able to leave prematurely. The staff are great - friendly and helpful. That's the best I can say. The hotel itself is tired, the common areas away... More

Moved out of Montreal, but come often for meetings and visiting friends and family. Tried various hotels for overnight. This is the best. Boutique style, renovated large room, nice decor. All amenities included, which was not the case in other hotels in this price range. Easy valet parking. Staff very very nice and professional. Great value. Situated in a very... More

Great hotel location with great staff and service. Close to metro access and near cultural, shopping and many restaurants to choose from. Safe area and excellent for leisure walk to get to cafés and choice boutiques and stores.

Came here for a girls' weekend and booked the Le Meridien based on the reviews, its reasonable price and location. Was disappointed by the noisy hallways and lack of good sleep. Both nights we were woken up by loud music and yelling from adjacent rooms. Also, there was a silverfish in the bathroom. Pretty disgusting. The front desk personnel were... More

The front staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately this is where the best parts of the hotel ends. I am currently staying in the hotel (sept 2-5) and amazed with the lack of attention provided to SPG platinum member. The rooms are ok and spacious . The downfall with my room is the TV does not tilt towards the... More

We visited the Le Meridien hotel for a 30 day stay. There was nothing that I did not see nor encounter over that duration. We were given a corner junior suite with a large bathroom & a daily buffet breakfast inc. The property can be categorized as a large boutique hotel. There is no club lounge nor swimming pool. It... Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
