These are the menu for Lunch and Dinner/Supper. Do not select the Fish and Chips from the lunch menu. Its two deep fried tasteless frozen fish burgers (fast food resturent type). You get one sachet each of Mayonnaise and Ketchup. The best item to select from the dinner menu is the Grilled Salmon. Once again you don't have a choice to select the bread (only white available). Very poor quality food and definitely not three star hotel quality.

Our stay was wonderful with very clean rooms. Staff was friendly. Smooth check-in & check-out.

Boxed breakfast was decent. There was a microwave in the room as well, which definitely helped us.

Rooms have their own A/C so there was no worries of the same air circulating all the hotel rooms, given the COVID situation

Booked via Wyndham for 89$.

This is not the first time at this hotel, came here close to 10 years ago when it was a Quality Inn. This is a new review as the Ramada.

The hotel called me to ask me if I was ok with an upgrade to a renovated room with 2 beds given my status.

Checked in about 5pm and was provided with a nice room, 2 queen beds, fridge, large lcd TV (plugged in my roku), good wifi, very nice bathroom.

The smallish pool is located in the basement, as well as a small gym, not very well equipped.

Bagged breakfast was provided at front desk. A few slices of bread with jam, a yogurt, a banana, some juice and a granola bar. They install a toaster in the morning for the bread.

Parking is 8$ a day (I think its free at the Ruby Foo hotel closeby).

The kosher restaurant on premise (this is a fairly Jewish area) was closed on Friday night given it was sabbath but less than 10 minutes walk, there are plenty of affordable options on Victoria Street.

OK choice

I stayed as part of Government mandated traveler quarantine. The wooden floors in the room were sticky and on my third (and thankfully) last day I saw cockroaches in the bathroom. I was offered to change rooms/have the room sprayed but as I was already leaving, I declined. Also, if there are cockroaches in one room, there probably are some in other rooms as well. As part of the quarantine package, food was delivered to my room 3 times/day. However, the trash (i.e. Styrofoam boxes with leftover food ) were not picked up from outside the rooms until the afternoon the following day (no wonder there are cockroaches!). I called the reception to inquire about this and had a rude response from the reception (who basically hung up on me).

Usually we stay at Wyndham and I always thought Ramada was a good brand. Starting to have second thoughts. The price lead me to believe it would be more than alright. I was fooled. The room was overlooking a highway. The reviews said dingy. I agree. The hallway was dark and… dated. The bathroom had updates probably 10-15 years ago but I think they forgot the wall paper. The room had been cleaned and the cleaner/deodorizer fragrance was overwhelming. Speaking of cleaning, there was a sock left from a previous occupant. On the upside, the bed was clean and comfortable. I had a lovely hot shower and the bath linens were clean. The young woman who was at the desk when we arrived was great. Similarly, the young woman who checked us out was excellent. Both very polite and helpful. The young man who was covering early in the morning left something to be desired. Didn’t know the answers to basic questions (What time does the breakfast open?) Breakfast was ok. I could find enough to eat of food that I like. There was an issue with credit card payment, very confusing with payments and credit because one card was used to reserve the room and another was required upon arrival and had a different amount. The other payment issue although not under the hotel purview is the absorbent amount of tax, lodging tax and taxes on lodging tax. Crazy. The rate we paid was about $11 more than the online advertised rate. The neighborhood is a little questionable.

I attended as part of a business trip for a course lasting 3 days, and so I choose to stay for 6 nights. Staff were courteous to me, wifi worked well enough. Problems I had were:
1) Mattress was way too soft, you put your knee in to get up and your leg would sink into the mattress. Led to a poor nights sleep.
2) I called a few weeks prior to booking and asked if the gym would be available, as I wanted to be able to get some exercise while on my trip. I was told it would likely be ready, but it was not, and you could see mattresses stacked sideways inbetween work out machines behind the locked door. The pool was available, however, too small for laps. The photos were there, however, the angle fooled me with regards to the distance.
3) Breakfast is atrocious - either do breakfast right or not at all, even if it is part of your package stay. They had the same meal setup in styrofoam containers to take and go. Every other restaurant/airport hotels have modified their dining arrangements so people could still get fresh food. The meal was predictable and without any nutritional benefit. 2 pieces of white bread, 1 small container of peanut butter, strawberry jam/ orange jam. There was 1 orange juice box, 1 banana, 1 apple. 1 small block of a hard white cheese (cheddar maybe) and 1 granola bar. The meal had relatively a high carbohydrate load, no healthy proteins, and this would be a diabetics worse nightmare.

Dear Guest, we thank you for your feedback in regards to your stay at the hotel. We very much appreciate your comments in order to improve upon our services. 1-Our mattresses are within the brand standards of Wyndham in regards to the quality, comfort and overall softness. I do understand maybe you prefer a harder bed however we have had many positive comments regarding our mattresses and their comfort level. 2-Our initial plan was to re-open the gym in late fall however unfortunately based on the circumstances and the many restrictions in place by the provincial government we were unable to do so. We do hope we will be able to open the gym in the coming weeks and once we do I can assure you we will update these changes accordingly on our websites as it currently does mention on our website what is closed and what is open in regards to the several services/facilities we offer. 3-I want to thank you for your comments regarding the breakfast as we are looking to improve this aspect by hopefully re-opening our buffet breakfast in the coming weeks(if restrictions allow us to). We try our best to cater to the needs of all our guests, and we do believe the breakfast boxes are quite loaded with many items that are completely complementary and included with your stay, along with a coffee/tea station available during breakfast hours in the lobby. We thank you once again for your feedback and although you did mention you would not return, we really hope you can reconsider that once we open all of services like our fitness/gym room, and our breakfast buffet. Warm regards

Room's dirty : all kinds of hair on the bathroom floor, in the shower, around and under the sink. Used toilet paper, dirty bed sheets, pillows and covers. The carpet is full of dust, there are hand prints all over the windows, the tv furniture and the desk. The food is dry, tasteless and cheap. Had to get very angry and write numerous emails before getting a refund. It's a shame, especially during Covid time. Will never ever go back.

The only good thing about this “hotel” was the staff. All were kind and helpful. The hotel itself is not at all as described. Firstly, it is not really renovated, the information on Wyndham’s website is slightly misleading and the caveat about the indefinite closure of the restaurant and pool is very easy to miss. Regardless, there are many restaurants nearby and I really didn’t care about the pool being under renovation as is the restaurant, supposedly - there was no visible ongoing renovation taking place. However, there is no warm breakfast buffet as advertised. Instead, one gets a “breakfast box.” It’s a styrofoam box which contains two pieces of bread, one hard boiled egg, a slice of cheese, and one packet of butter, and two packets of jam. People incarcerated in jail get better breakfasts.

The absence of the advertised buffet breakfast was attributed to an unexplained “occurrence.” The “occurrence” is that the hotel has a contract with either the federal or provincial government and it is a point of entry reception centre for new immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers, and feeding all these folks would have cut into Wyndham’s bottom line. I welcome all new Canadians. I have no issue with immigration. I, too, was a refugee many years ago. But, I do have an issue with Wyndham, and its deceptive promotion and advertising practices.

Moreover, the hotel is far from completely renovated, and what has been renovated was done shoddily. The lobby, hallways and elevator are permeated by this horrid smell, sort of a combination of sewer water and boiled cabbage. All of the above might be tolerable if one was paying less than $100 nightly, but on some booking sites, the hotel is charging $260 or more per night.

To end this story, Saturday morning the hotel was evacuated because of a fire that filled the hotel with smoke. When we were allowed back to our rooms, we packed our stuff, checked out and moved down the street to a new Hilton.

As I wrote at the beginning, the only positive aspect of this hotel was the staff. I’m not exaggerating or fabricating any of this. Spend a few bucks more and avoid this property. Personally, I’ll never book a Wyndham property again anywhere at any time.

Dear ShadowCanada, thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback regarding your recent stay at our hotel. On behalf of our entire team, we would like to apologize for failing to exceed your expectations. Your satisfaction is important to us and we will be using the feedback you provided to make improvements to ensure we offer an exceptional experience for our guests in the future. Regarding some ongoing improvements and renovations we are trying to make, it is indicated on our website and all third-party booking websites as well, along with the buffet breakfast being suspended for the undetermined period with a boxed breakfast to-go as an alternative option. We tremendously apologize for the evacuation and the inconvenience this had caused, unfortunately, this was something out of the hotel's control but we do wish that could have been avoided of course. We just are glad that everyone followed the fire department's commands and evacuated safely. We hope you give us another chance in the near future. Thank you once again for taking the time to let us know how your stay was.

This hotel was disgusting. The service was just as disgusting. When I complained about my experience I was told by the front desk staff ' it was not their hotel'.

Breakfast is stale wonderbread in a styrofoam container, so enjoy that.

Also, the bathroom smelt of mold and there was stains on all the fabric in the room

The drawers were also broken.

Hard to believe that with a room facing the Decarie expressway, I heard nothing. They must have soundproofed the rooms. I have never had a more comfortable sleep in my life. Clean sheets and soft pillows. There is a remote controlled thermostat for the a/c and heat in the room so you don't have to get out of bed in case you made it too cold. There is also a separate heater for the bathroom. A large shower with an open/close door and no problem with hot water. But it does take a few seconds to heat up. The coffee maker was broken so they replaced it right away. This renovated room needed a new chair. The old one was peeling. The next day, the maid came with a new chair. All this was taken care of thanks to Laurence at the front desk. She also called up to the room to see if everything was okay. WE only found these problems after our conversation. But, like I said, everything was solved quickly. Unfortunately the (indoor) pool was undergoing renovations during my stay. Parking in their lot is 8 dollars a night but there is street parking, I recommend this hotel.
