This is a budget hotel in a location that is easily accessible. However, the hotel has no lift, and someone has to carry up heavy luggage on at least one (pretty tall) stairs. If your room is not on the landing floor, you may have to take it up one more flight of stairs. The room is small, but has a kitchenette, microwave and a coffee maker. The breakfast is minimal--two croissants in a plastic bag hung on the doorknob in the morning. The staff very supportive, but the facilities are really basic.

We stopped here for four nights and was pleasantly surprised by its handy access to restaurants and cafes. Staff very friendly and rooms good value, though on the small side and a bit dated. Has a small kitchenette and the staff let us check in early. Drawbacks were bad acoustics for our room adjacent to the entrance and a nearly two blocks from the subway. Overall good little hotel.

You walk out the door in the morning (yes, down some very steep stairs), and everything you need is within 15 minutes' walking. Really not noisy, despite the popularity of St Denis and the adjacent jazz club. Rooms are clean and well-maintained, and the tiny kitchens are actually very useful. Friendly staff, too!

This is perfectly located , room had a murphy bed and kitchenette. They have coffee and juice in the room and they bring your choice of croissant, bagel or bread . Parking is available on a street nearby at $10 for 24 hours . The only negative and it was for us a big one is the cigarette smell . there was no ashtray so we thought it was non smoking but perhaps the carpet needs to be replaced as it may be holding the smell . Aside from that I would recommend the place.

We spent a long weekend in late August at this hotel (4 nights). The location was great. There are many restaurants close by as well as two metro stops and the weekend market on mont royal ave. The hotel has an arrangement with a local parking lot (cash only) a short walk away, which was very reasonable. Because of all the street closures for different festivals and markets, it was not possible to go the usual way to the parking lot and the staff person was very helpful in rerouting us. There are a lot of stairs in this property, which may be problematic for some. The only negative I had is that the central air was set at 23c. It was an usually hot and humid weekend and this didn't seem cool enough for us (in fairness to the hotel I didn't ask about lowering the temp). The rooms were clean with good quality linens and towels. The shower was wonderful as were the soaps. It was our first time sleeping in a Murphy bed and the mattress was quite comfortable. Very little street noise with the windows closed. There is a great organic grocer very close by and I highly recommend breakfast at Cafe Replika on Rue Rachel. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely stay here again.
