My mother and I stayed at Anne Ma Soeur Anne for a long weekend while visiting Quebec and absolutely loved it. The location was within walking distance to both bus routes and the metro. And you simply can't beat staying in Le Plateau with all of the great shops and restaurants. It really made us feel less like tourists and... More

We were in Montreal for a wedding and this Bed and breakfast seems like a good choice. The room was fine we actually got a suite with 2 beds and had plenty of room. It is a large building with at least 30 rooms. My gripes are that the "breakfast" was a croissant in a paper bag left at my... More

Wonderful stay, would definitely stay again. The location was great and the staff was very helpful in pointing out the spots that best suit the needs of what you are looking for. The room was always clean and inviting.

I had a 3 nights stay at Anne ma soeur Anne, which is a wonderfully located small hotel, at the heart of "Le plateau" in Montreal, on St-Denis street, (which is having a pavement and sidewalk revamping for the time being, making it a bit unpractical to download luggage at the hotel if you have more than what your hands... Anne Ma Soeur Anne is a clean, well kept hotel in a great location. Our only difficulty was the disruption caused by municipal work on the street. Now that the street construction is being completed, it will be even better!

The location was perfect. It was surrounded by cafes, shops and the Metro. The street is a quiet street other than the construction work. I would suggest staying in a room on the back of the building. The rooms are small but perfect for solo, economical traveling.

Quaint hotel in a good location for shopping and dining. I felt like I was in Europe. Old buildings with interesting architecture and luckily the locals could switch to English easily. The hotel did have a very steep staircase that was difficult to manage with a week's worth of luggage and no assistance, but the manager did help carry on... More

Location is great. Hotel is so-so. Room was clean but we did have a hard time getting hold of someone when we needed more toilet paper. We finally had to track someone down to get it. Beds were very firm, which is obviously good or bad depending on your preference. But again, the location is great and the price is... More

A closet with a bed, no room for anything,if you have luggage, good luck, the floor squeeked , the bed squeeked, no a/c control, had to call and ask to increase the a/c, jazz club downstairs was annoying, don't get exited about the croissants. Will not return.

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
