This is a basic, no-frills, B&B with an excellent Latin Quarter location, set amid much hustle et bustle and great restaurants and bars. Around the corner is the U-Berri subway station. The hotel is small and run well; the room was small, but comfortable. Of course, the main attraction is the very affordable price that offers the guest a decent...

We spent 3 nights in this hotel! First weird thing was the check-in, the member of staff did not ask for our passports which is unbelievable (I thought they accept so many strangers without any documents )then he didn't even explain about breakfast time (8-10am)and check-out. Breakfast is always included as they provide tea or coffee, muffins or croissants and...

For about 60 CAD per night you get a good location, breakfast and nice service. I think it's a very good value. The St-Denis street has plenty of restaurants and bars, literally a 1 minute walk. Just in front you have a vegetarian restaurant and a Second Cup coffee. McDonalds is 2 mins down the street. Central bus station is...

Cheap and clean close to public transit. We got a parking space not far for maybe $10. Breakfast was really simple - terrible juice. Just go buy your own. Nothing fancy - probably the equivalent of a hostel. I've stayed twice. But there is not public space other than the lobby to meet people.

The hotel cancelled the booking on us one hour before we were supposed to arrive. They did not call us, just simply sent us an email that our booking is cancelled. When I called them, they lied and said that they had called us before. It was a long weekend, and it became very clear that they wanted to give...

The hotel was clean, well located and the manager was helpful but that's where it stopped! The room was pokey, the bathroom door wouldn't fully open as it hit the bed! The decor exceptionally dark and dated. The main ceiling light was wires hanging loose with choky blocks so the room was even darker. Breakfast, stale croissant and awful coffee....

A friend and I stayed there for a long weekend. We did quite a bit of walking and found the hotel to be conveniently located. The hotel is a little run down, but the cleaning staff do a very good job keeping everything tidy. There is no elevator. Parking is in the lower level of the building behind the hotel and...

Very small rooms and basic we had to carry out cases up quite a flights of stairs because there is no lift, complimentary breakfast of croissant and muffins. Friendly staff. Good location. Parking is a public car park about a 5 mins walk away. Good wifi. Okay if you are literally just needing a bed for the night.

The hotel covered all the basics well. The location is really close to everything I wanted to see. Good place to start walking and exploring from knowing at the end of the night a decent bed to fall on is there. There is even a small breakfast available. There are a lot of restraunts and bars nearby to cater to...

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
