This is a very old fashioned hotel in need of a makeover. It has a dorm feel, so don't expect luxury or a modern aesthetic. That said, it is centrally located to the university and Cote-des-Neiges station and within walking distance of great restaurants, markets, grocery stores, and cafes. I was traveling for business with two children and it was... More

This was a great hotel. It was near a metro stop which made getting around very easy. The Hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The underground parking was really nice as our out of town tags may have invited unwanted attention on such a busy weekend in the city. I would stay here again.

I was here for 2 nights for work. I chose to stay in Cote Des Neiges instead of downtown for convenience, and was a bit sceptical. I was pleasantly surprised, however, and my experience was positive. My room was large, with a separate bedroom and kitchenette. I didn't use the kitchenette, but appreciated the full-sized fridge and freezer. The bed... More

We were looking for a place close to St. Joseph , and Terrasse were the closest. This time we took train, so we didn't waste time in traffic, nice. Metro station is close by, Metro store as well, our room was efficiency , but who would want to cook when so many restaurants , bistros and coffee shops are just... More

Hotel Terrasse Royal is in a very convenient location. I chose the hotel to be convenient to relatives living close to Cote des Neiges but I was concerned that it might have been too far a commute to downtown and other locales. I was wrong. The local area has plenty of restaurants and a wonderful pattisserie/ boulangerie next door. Bus... More

We spent 3 nights here visiting friends. We thought this was really good. It was very close to the metro which was why we picked it. But we thought that this was a great place for the money. Two large rooms, very comfy beds, great shower. Very clean. Convenient breakfast room. It may not have been amazing, but it certainly... More

I have stayed in this place many times over the years. It used to be one of the best places to stay in Montreal-If not the best place to stay in Montreal. The hallways always smelled fresh-a unique smell I have never encountered anywhere else. That is no longer present and the fairly tranquil environment is gone-replaces by idiotic door... More

We visited friends in Montreal who suggested we stay at the Hotel Terrasse-Royal as it was close to where they lived. From the outside it was not what we expected. It was location in busy neighborhood---almost difficult to find. But...what a nice surprise! Our room was large and most comfortable. Staff was great. The location was excellent...Great cafes..with delicious pastries..breakfasts... More

We took a studio which was a quite large room with a kitchenette which was basically a small indentation with basic amenities. The room was spotless and kept that way throughout our stay. The bathroom was just like we like it- they replaced the bathtub and made it into a large shower. Really great. The staff was in general quite... More

Seemingly great location in an emerging neighborhood in one of Montréal's more diverse and eclectic burroughs (Côte-des-Neiges). However, the truly unacceptable accommodations, furnishings, dirt, hair, bed sheets, half-eaten croissant from a prior guest/victim, and more hair, are enough to offset the positives. Never again.
