Hotel St-Denis is a very good hotel in a great location at a very reasonable price. There are plenty of bars and restaurants within a half mile radius, and old town is only about a half mile walk straight down St-Denis. Parking garage is available right around the corner for $16 per day extra. The only drawback is that the... More

A very nice independent hotel close to everything. Most tourist things within a 10 minute walk. Pleasant reception staff who are apt to speak English. Room small but clean. Good value for the price paid.

staff attitude was horrible, when we questioned the charge, we were rudely asked to leave the hotel.and the room lacks cleanliness and hygiene. we found bed bugs in the pillows. There was no apologies, we were moved to an inferior room, yet were charged full price.

We as a team denounce this review. We strive every day to provide the best possible experience for all our guests. We do this with pleasure and honesty. We put a lot of effort in our work and listen carefully to the comments of those who visit. But this time it is too much. These dishonest people have a voice... More

Clean room right near McGill College, restaurants and bars. About a mile walk to Old Montreal. Parking was available for a reasonable fee and secure around corner from hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Stayed for 3 nights here. It is a small hotel room that meets basic needs such as TV, AC, and wifi. We like the convenient location to old town, supermarket and Metro. Staff were friendly and helpful,. But we found a stain in the bed cover in the 2nd night. So we won't give a high five rating.

Hotel St. Denis was great. We enjoyed our stay. They offered parking around the corner for about $18 American per day, which was great. The bed was always made and the AC kept the room nice and cool. We would definitely stay here again when we go back to Montreal.

Spent 2 days mid August, very clean hotel, rooms on smaller side with very comfortable bed, friendly staff, a lot of European charm, close to old Montreal, less than 5 min walk, would stay again and recommend.

The hotel and the hall way are very small, which makes you worry about the quality of the room. But when you get into the room, it's nice and neat. Comfort like my own house. We dance in the room after dinner, just like you are at home! They have parking garage on the side of a small street, feels... More

Just spent 2 nights here with a few friends. It's location is spot on within walking distance to almost everything including old Montreal/ metro and the village. It's a shame that they have not updated the rooms completely. Beds were comfy and room was big enough but bathroom was bad, dated and shower didn't work and very small. Safe is... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
