The room was big enough for us, but comparatively small. It was well appointed, clean and welcoming. The beds were comfortable and the furnishings were of good quality, if not opulent. Parking was free, but on the street in our case. The only downside we noticed was the noise level the thin walls can allow into the room. We were...

My boyfriend and I booked this hotel for the family day weekend because we liked the look and location of it. Unfortunately this hotel did not meet our expectations. We booked a "premium" room and found out at check in that it was in the building across the street. Now the weekend we went happened to be the coldest weekend...

I think you already did! I'm very sorry you didn't enjoy your stay, but it is appreciated that you took the time to write. Yes, we do have two buildings, and there are free street parking options next to either one, as well as a garage for $15 a night if guests would rather be indoors. There are sometimes snow-removal...

Walls to thin but otherwise it is a great place to stay. There was a crying baby and loud family next door to me. I think this might have been an exception, though. Nice room, very clean, enjoyed the stay, except for the people next to my room.

I fell in love with this hotel. Located a mere 4 minute walk from Sherbrooke Subway Station, this hotel offers a home-like environment. Beautifully decorated common areas and rooms, it is quiet, affordable and convenient. My room was on the 3rd (and top) floor, so if you have problems going up the stairs don't get one of the smaller rooms...

The price is good for this hotel. But we upgraded to a superior room. The superior room was not what we expected. The walls are paper thin. We had a couple of young people next door who yelled and swore into the night. We called the front desk a couple of times before things got quieter. The superior room, across...

We appreciate that you took the time to write. We're very sorry you had disrespectful neighbours, but you did right to notify our 24-hour reception so that they could deal with the issue. You stayed during a particularly harsh stretch of winter, and while we do shovel and salt the steps at least three times a day, it can be...

The location of the hotel on a major street in a quiet neighborhood is very convenient, especially if you are not fluent in French road signs. The staff at the hotel is very friendly and helpful. The hotel has all the charm that is expected from the picture of its turret. All new bathroom, comfortable bed and very clean room...

Very hospitable hosts, parking is possible, rooms are small but certainly adequate. The location is really great for walking down to restaurants and shops. And the breakfasts, taken in adjoining cafe, are quite well prepared and served - very personalized service. The hotel is nicely decorated throughout. The only downside, for people who do not like walking upstairs, is that...

Thanks for writing, Marshall. It's good to hear you were able to enjoy the hotel, and the Quartier Latin neighbourhood. It's worth pointing out that we have different sizes of room available, and the staff is usually able to help carry luggage upstairs, upon request. Thanks again!

Finding one room for five people in Montreal was challenging so we were delighted when we came across the Hotel de Paris "family room" which has two double beds and one twin. The twin seems to have a trundle bed underneath it so it might even fit 6 people if you're traveling with kids. The parking was very reasonably priced...

Excellent for the price. I have never had such a nice gigantic room for so little, except in India. I booked a 'queen deluxe' room for New Year's which actually ended up being a third-floor king room in the annex across the street. That room was huge! And right on the corner in the turret with 5 large windows facing...

Thank you very much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful, detailed review. We really appreciate the feedback, and we're glad to hear it was a pleasant stay. I just came back from a trip to Montreal, and I spent 3 nights at the hotel. Thank you for taking the time to write. Your comments are very helpful. Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
