We wondered if we were making a mistake going to Montreal in January but any apprehensions were dispelled immediately upon getting a warm welcoming letter from the hotel with a long list of great close restaurants. We made reservations at Sinclair, the fabulous restaurant in the hotel and were treated to the most imaginative series of plates both in taste... More

Spent a night here and I have to say I was impressed with this hotel from the location, to the room to the reception staff. Beautiful big, clean room with a kitchenette equipped with all you need : sink, fridge, cooktop , utensils and microwave. Bath is also big and luxurious. Bed is very comfy with nice mattress and pillows... More

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in July and had a wonderful time. The hotel is in a perfect location, very central for seeing the city on foot and on bixi bike, with docking stations nearby. Our suite opened up onto the street which was fun for people watching, but the bedroom was still very quiet for sleeping.... More

Decided to spend a night in Montreal with my sister. I had been to Saint-Sulpice a few times because it is pet friendly and walking distance to Old Montreal. Once again, I had a great experience at Saint-Sulpice. We arrived earlier than check-in time and the staff was able to get us a room in order for us to immediately... More

My wife and I honeymooned at this hotel in 2005. Almost 11 years later, and with our four children, we came back for the first time. We had an absolutely wonderful stay. From the front desk, the valet, and the restaurant, the entire staff went out of their way to help us enjoy our time in Montreal. They were very... More

Spent 3 nights at the Le Saint Sulpice over the New Years holiday. The hotel is close to everything in Old Montreal and is right down the street from the beautiful Notre Dame Basilica. The staff, especially the valets, were friendly and helpful. The decor is modern, yet comfortable and our room was huge. If I were to return to... More

My friend and I stayed in one of the suites for one night. Bathroom was very spacious (separate tub and shower). The room was huge and it even had a little automatic fireplace. Overall, very clean room with L'occitane toiletries which was a nice touch. I would say that the location of the tv and the bed are a little... More

Positives: The hotel is beautiful, romantic, and wonderfully located. Large room whose design was calming and modern with nice seating area around the second TV. The bed was very comfortable. The front desk people and all the staff I encountered were very welcoming. Negatives: TV facing bed had poor picture quality and the remote did not work. The front desk... More

The room that I stayed in was phenomenal, it's clean and spacious. The location was perfect as it's right by the Notre Dame Basilica of Montreal. The metro was also only a few minutes away by foot. If I were to return to Montreal, I would definitely book this hotel again.

We have been to the St-Suplice with our dog(s) many times and last time was a few days ago in Montreal's record for Dec 29 snowfall and even with all the wind and the following days of slush we had a deliriously satisfying stay, protected, sheltered and most comfortable. Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighborhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic center of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its center, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theater.
