Nestled in an original Beaux-Arts building in the historic quarter of Old Montreal, the St Paul opened in 2001 as Canada’s first ever boutique hotel. The 119-room property, designed by Montreal-based design firm Borrallo Interiors offers a timeless blend of past and present, and an innovative design that maintains the integrity of the building’s original architecture. Bold juxtapositions of colour and texture heighten the senses and transport guests on a visual journey throughout their stay. Masculine elements like straight cuts and strong lines collide with feminine expressions found in the fashion-inspired fabrics to create a soothing paradox. In addition to providing our guests with an outstanding location, service and amenities, we are committed to environmental sustainability and engaged in local sourcing. - Energy conservation program - Waste reduction - Sustainable sourcing - Water conservation. Stayed in beginning of 02/2023. The management didn’t answer my email concerning a minor issue I had during my most recent stay but still sent me spam soliciting a review on various platforms. I’ve stayed here over six times and was surprised that St. Paul didn’t take the initiative to address my concerns or at the very least, replied to my email. It was as if I were speaking to their hand and they couldn’t be bothered. I understand the hotel is under new management and my conclusion from my stay is this hotel lost its personable touch as a boutique hotel and felt a tad institutional. Certainly a manager from a Hilton or Marriott property would respond quickly to a similar email and just charge me once for a pet instead of each night I stayed, which was why I emailed the manager. Further, I would earn points and get an upgrade based on loyalty at most competitors’ properties for my loyalty. However, not at the St. Paul anymore. In conclusion, I’m reminiscent of this hotel’s past grandeur and hospitality.

Since we arrived we were surprised by the look and style of the hotel, including the room. Very warm and stylish modern design. The service was very attentive and fast and they were available any time of the day. One of the highlights was their bar P.O.L. in the hotel. It has a very distinct decor with artworks around and the drinks were excellent and the food was top notch. The whole vibe of the hotel is very unique and so it made our experience! The location can't be better! Galleries, museums and restaurant at walking distance. Also loved how close to the Old Port it is! I totally recommend it

This is the PERFECT hotel to stay in for a getaway the in heart of Old Montreal. It is a gorgeous building and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in (the warmest welcoming lobby with a fireplace and classy furniture). The front desk staff is extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful, and made the experience of staying at St Paul Hotel even more enjoyable by going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. From the start the check-in was done extremely fast and they were more than happy to give us a list of recommendations to explore the city. The rooms were exceptional! Spotless, high-ceiling and with canopy beds. It really made our trip the best experience and would 100% recommend if you are looking to stay in Montreal.
