Stayed here for 3 nights whilst staying in Montreal. Reception staff were a little slow but friendly enough. We stayed on the 7th floor.. Room was quite small and always dark! It overlooked another tall building at the front. Small industrial like bathroom, shower was good though. Bed was comfortable enough, coffee machine in room and television. 3 nights was... More

I stayed here for a week just recently and really enjoyed my stay! the rooms are very clean with new towels and beds made EVERY day! Breakfast had a range of fruits, breads, jams, pastries and cereals every morning! the staff were lovely and always very helpful if we needed anything.

We had a room on the 10th floor at the front of the hotel. The room was small and had very limited storage space; this was a bit of an issue for us as we were staying here as part of a longer trip and we had a lot of luggage. There is also only a small area to hang... More

I visit Montreal frequently and have stayed at many hotels in the area. Travelodge is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Very rude front desk, dirty room, dirty bathroom that looks like it has never been maintained. Images of rooms are deceiving. Would never go back.

This was a good budget hotel for attending a conference at the nearby Palais des Congres. The bright sign on the side of the building made it an easy landmark. The complementary breakfast was pretty decent and made my early mornings easier. Staff were friendly and responsive. My room was small but clean and comfortable. I especially admired the use... We stayed here on a Groupon coupon. Room was small. I booked two doubles and was given a room with a super single. There was no remote for the TV. There was no hairdryer. The people at the front desk did get us a hairdryer. When I asked at the front desk for a good breakfast recommendation they were stumped.... More

I gave this review excellent, for following reasons. Great location, clean, good breakfast, brilliant value money. It seems a waiste to spend much more. Hotel had good wifi. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Agreed that rooms are small, but I didn't spend much time there.

For a budget hotel this establishment was well appointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast provision was excellent and the location couldn't be faulted. The gift shop was well stocked but was not staffed which was a pity but apart from that we were very pleased with our stay.

We stayed in a double room on a quick business trip. The room was sufficient in size yet the bathroom was a little cramped especially for two tall persons - Our room was quiet; the hotel centrally located to centretown (St Catherine St, Chinatown, Desjardins Centre); and the breakfast featured lots of choice & fresh fruit -

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Bakeries, markets, restaurants, and buffets crowd the brightly graffitied streets of Chinatown, the city's aromatic destination for pan-Asian cuisine. Distinguished at its entry points by towering vermillion paifang gates, the compact neighborhood acts as a focal point for the Chinese community, hectic with educational facilities, cultural centers, acupuncturists, and foreign-language newspapers. Especially vibrant in the warmer months, when the sweet smell of dragon beard candy along the pedestrian walks of Rue de la Gauchetière signal the beginning of the outdoor street fair season, Chinatown is a treasure hunter's dream, with enough knickknack and curiosity shops to tempt even the pickiest shoppers. The convivial vibe picks up after dark, when the area's active nightlife offers evening crowds their choice of drink, dance, and midnight snacks of pho or oysters. Chinatown's mix of new and old, with herbal remedies being sold alongside pop-culture DVDs, gives the area its own animated brand of moxie.
