Room was brilliant comfortable bed, good wifi, good shower, perfect position. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay , the room some might think was small but it was similar to their rooms in uk. BReakfast was included which was a super buffet with hot other items also available for an extra choice.

I wanted to check out the Montreal Jazz Festival and Casino Montreal – reportedly the largest casino in Canada for the July long weekend. I booked a flight from Toronto to Montreal’s Trudeau International Airport (formerly Dorval Airport) via Porter Airlines. I also booked a 3 night stay at the downtown Montreal Travelodge at 50 Rene Levesque Bld. West (Thursday... More

Stayed here recently for a mini-moon with friends, and was a bit nervous about being in a high rise hotel right downtown. Pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and quiet of the hotel, despite its busy location. Rooms are small but adequate, and the beds are comfortable. Very close to Old Montreal, and also the Place D'Armes metro station if you... More

The room was TINY!!!! For two people, it was so small that you constantly tripped over the other person. No closet, no place to put your luggage except on the floor where you would trip over it. Breakfast buffet was good and the location was good.

Although the room was small, it was more than adequate for our three night stay. The continental breakfast had an excellent choice and the staff was very cooperative and friendly. A bonus is a car rental representative in the lobby. There is a bus stop for the airport bus and other city buses just a few steps from the main... More

We were in Montreal for the Jazzfest and Sting concert. This is reasonably priced hotel in a superior location - walking distance to Rue Ste. Catherine for the fest, an easy 12-15 minute walk to the Bell Centre, a few blocks from old Montreal, and on the edge of Chinatown, great shopping and restaurants all around you. The continental breakfast... More

It was a perfect stay at the Travelodge in Montreal. The room was big enough, the breakfast was good and the price was really top for everything the hotel was offering. It's right opposite of Complexe Desjardins an a 5 minutes walk from Rue Saint Catherine and the entertainment district.

Stayed for 3 days during 2016 Canada Day. The room was clean and the location is convenient. I enjoyed the staying. Except there was not enough parking space for the hotel guests had to park somewhere else.

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Bakeries, markets, restaurants, and buffets crowd the brightly graffitied streets of Chinatown, the city's aromatic destination for pan-Asian cuisine. Distinguished at its entry points by towering vermillion paifang gates, the compact neighborhood acts as a focal point for the Chinese community, hectic with educational facilities, cultural centers, acupuncturists, and foreign-language newspapers. Especially vibrant in the warmer months, when the sweet smell of dragon beard candy along the pedestrian walks of Rue de la Gauchetière signal the beginning of the outdoor street fair season, Chinatown is a treasure hunter's dream, with enough knickknack and curiosity shops to tempt even the pickiest shoppers. The convivial vibe picks up after dark, when the area's active nightlife offers evening crowds their choice of drink, dance, and midnight snacks of pho or oysters. Chinatown's mix of new and old, with herbal remedies being sold alongside pop-culture DVDs, gives the area its own animated brand of moxie.
