Stayed there for one night in the end of December 2016. The room was VERY small!!! We have a 3-year old and asked for the crib (they gave us a playpen instead to sleep, which is fine) + we had a stroller in our room - so there was literally NO space to walk with all that - the room...

Paid what I get. Small room, wait 5 mins for hot water at shower. No on site parking and no 24 hrs access parking near the hotel. Don't go if you plan to drive or need to in and out with car. Worse hotel I ever stay

My fiance and I recently traveled to Montreal and stayed at the Travelodge. We were coming from quite far and had business early the next morning. The hotel is in the perfect location, close to tons of restaurants, and shopping. It was just down the street from the US Consulate General, which is where we were headed the next day....

I travelled to Montreal and stayed with my friend this past July for my birthday weekend, and I am very pleased to say that -for the price we paid-we could not have chosen a much better place to stay. The room was small, but very clean with a full bathroom, two single beds and a desk area which served to...

For a mere 85$/night you get a minimalist accomodations, small room but very clean and quiet. Desk clerk really helpfull and accomodating. You cannot reserve a parking place in the basement but if you check-in early, you will probably be okay. Just about 500 ft from Desjardins Complex that gives you access to subway, Place des arts and lot of...

I have read in the past, several unfavorable reviews for this hotel; so I decided to see why for myself. I must say that most if not all of them were unfounded. I arrived at the hotel in late morning, and was warmly greeted by the staff. Registration was quick and the personnel was professional and very pleasant. My room...

Very good location. The airport shuttle bus stops just down from the hotel (it is literally a couple of steps). It is close to the metro and has quite a few bus stops in close vicinity. Chinatown is just behind the hotel and the old city is literally three bus stop from the hotel (number 55). In good weather you...

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Bakeries, markets, restaurants, and buffets crowd the brightly graffitied streets of Chinatown, the city's aromatic destination for pan-Asian cuisine. Distinguished at its entry points by towering vermillion paifang gates, the compact neighborhood acts as a focal point for the Chinese community, hectic with educational facilities, cultural centers, acupuncturists, and foreign-language newspapers. Especially vibrant in the warmer months, when the sweet smell of dragon beard candy along the pedestrian walks of Rue de la Gauchetière signal the beginning of the outdoor street fair season, Chinatown is a treasure hunter's dream, with enough knickknack and curiosity shops to tempt even the pickiest shoppers. The convivial vibe picks up after dark, when the area's active nightlife offers evening crowds their choice of drink, dance, and midnight snacks of pho or oysters. Chinatown's mix of new and old, with herbal remedies being sold alongside pop-culture DVDs, gives the area its own animated brand of moxie.
