It was alright. Nothing too special. Room was clean, but smelled a little musty. Beds were comfortable, nothing to complain about there. Good hotel for a short stay. The only problem we encountered was with our checkout. We only stayed one night, and we went down to request a late checkout at around 9:30 pm. The clerk at the front... More

The only good thing I can say about this Hotel is it's location. As soon as you get in the elevator the smell hits you, (kind of a mix of mold and febreeze) which carry's into your room. Someone had vomited in the hall but no one ever cleaned it during our stay. The bathroom had mold on the walls,... More

We stayed in a two bed room and there was hardly any room for two bags...one was a squeeze. The bathroom was on the small size and lack of space to put thing in the bathroom unless the toilet seat takes your fancy. The location is great on the upside, close to everything.

This hotel is very nice, close to resturants. Just be prepared to walk to the old town area, lots of the street are hills. Overall very friendly, helpful, and nice. Their is a variety of resturants in Saint Catherine st. You have China Town very close also. I recommend wearing comfy shoes.

We stayed at this hotel with another couple and neither of us were impressed with the hotel and the service. I would avoid this hotel. The only reason we booked this hotel was were we competing in a Spartan Race and there were so many things going on in the city that weekend (Just for Laughs music festival, Celine Dion... More

There are two good things about this hotel, the location and the friendly staff that we met. The rooms are outdated and dirty. They have king size pillows but only regular size pillow cases so they stuff the pillows in and through the night, the pillow works it's way out which is very disgusting and even after mentioning this to... One of the rooms leaked a substantial amount of water during our stay. The renovations seen to be working their way from the 2nd floorup. Stay on the 2nd if you can.

Needs to be modernized, and a fresh coat of paint. My mattress either needed to be flipped or replaced. Too dark in the room. Nothing special

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
