I need to make up for not writing this review last October after our stay. We arrived at the hotel during an employee strike. While the employees were picketing in front of the hotel, the management was keeping the hotel running flawlessly. I believe it was the general manager who was acting as doorman. He was very upbeat about the...

Great location, the hotel covers the bases. Hotel rooms have what is needed, but no style. Coffee maker more what would be expected in a cheaper motel. Rooms dont jive with effort made in public areas. seems a little confused on its identity.

I stayed at Hôtel Bonaventure for about a week and had a great experience. Off the bat the thing I appreciated most was that the conference I was attending was taking place IN the hotel -- made my early mornings nice and easy! But on top of that -- + Amenities I loved the heated outdoor pool and rooftop gardens....

This hotel begins on the 10th floor of the building. Just take the entrance elevator to the 10th floor lobby. reception area, restaurants, swimming pools, duck pond (that's right, about 300 mallards, presumably wild, and 1 white Muscovy duck paddling around), large trees, etc. Yes, this starts on the 10th floor of the building. Cross the street and you are...

Location is great and parking is convenient (underground parking under hotel). The hotel is older and the decor is a bit tired, but the hotel itself is very clean. Service is attentive. I would recommend breakfast at the nicer restaurant with option of buffet or wait service. Much better variety and selection of food and beverages.

The hotel is downtown Montreal and is attached to the underground city which was the selling point for us. It was very very convenient. Even outdoors it is just a few minute walk from lots of shops and restaurants and you pass some amazing architecture and a beautiful church. The entrance being on the main level and having to take...

My grandchildren and myself had the good fortune to pick this hotel for a weekend of hockey games. They truly went over and above my expectations. The staff was truly the best, friendly, helpful, humorous and treated us as family. I will definitely return here again. This was our first time in Montreal and had the good fortune to book...

Second trip to this historic hotel built for the 67 World's Fair Expo. I love the design. Each area of the hotel has a unique look. We stayed in room 2233 and had a beautiful view of the city looking East. Fun watching the trains come in under the building. Rooms are clean and food is very good in restaurants....

We stayed in Bonaventure Hotel for 3 nights in August. Great location near center and easy access from airport. If you don"t have a car , metro station is right there and easy access to all. Loved the hotel gardens and heated outdoor pool.

A great hotel. The location is superb-above the central station. The facilities are excellent and access to the underground city is direct from the hotel so there is no need to go outside during the cold winters. The outdoor pool is very popular- we watched people swimming in the open during a blizzard then jumping into a hot tub alongside...

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
