This hotel has a great location, and the service was excellent. It has a cozy bar, average restaurant (poutine and salmon and shrimp salad were great though), and it has a heated outdoor pool that is pretty cool.

We stayed at the Hotel Boneventure two nights, and it was a fabulous stay. The concierge Florence Désourdy was incredibly helpful and kind. She helped us plan everything from where to eat, to what part of the city to explore, to the quickest travel routes, all with good cheer. Another highlight was being served a delicious and filling breakfast each...

This place is like a secret garden. I spent one evening here before catching my train back to the States the next morning. From the moment I saw the swinging seating in the entrance hall I knew I was in love! I highly recommend escaping to the Bonaventure.

I have never slept in a room so quiet! I never heard hallway or next door room noises, the small in room refrigerator never dripped, the heating unit made zero noise!!!! The rooms are spacious, we were able to fit a blow up queen mattress in two different spots in the room. The bedding was soft and comfortable and there...

The great: the hotel is on top of the "Underground" city. Fairly easy to get to and from the trains and subway. Also the folks at the desk as well as housekeeping were friendly and helpful. The good: While the whole hotel has a bit of a rundown feel it also has an upscale feel and we found everything clean...

While looking for a getaway in Montreal I found the Bonaventure. I liked the photos and the location. We booked a suite after seeing the photos of a Bathroom to die for. We got to our hotel about 45 min before check in and our room wasn't ready yet so we went exploring. We couldn't wait to try the heated...

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
