First impressions of a hotel aren't great when you are greeted by a shabby carpet on an outdoor staircase and a Reception area that needs a bit of a revamp, but the bedroom was very spacious with good air conditioning and a good shower. Ours was facing into a (somewhat rundown) courtyard at the rear which at least meant the... More

Dear Guest Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion on your stay with us. We are glad you enjoy the room, location, breakfast and service in general. We do agree with you that our exterior carpet and stairs needs a revamp. This will be done as soon as the high season slows down so we can work... More

A super cosy hotel! we were instantly assisted with our bags. Our room wasn't ready yet, so we got tips to see Montreal and off we went. When we came back, our bags were already in the room. we had a room on the second room. the hallway is partially outside which is a bit weird. the room itself was... More

Our room was in the back in an L-addition to the main building. The room appeared to be newly remodeled with a nice hardwood floor. It was quiet, spacious and the beds were comfortable. The Metro is just two blocks away as was the overnight parking lot. Our room rate included breakfast and we were pleased with the choices (croissants,... More

This is charming little hotel in a great location on the Rue St. Denis. We had a room in the back with a private bath and spa tub, and it was really nice. Very quiet, and the beds were great. The breakfast was very good -- croissants, ham, cheese, scrambled eggs, coffee, juice, and much more. The staff was very... More

Excellent location close to all touristic spots. Within walking distance to many and a stone's throw from fine, affordable dining? A welcoming and very helpful staff, always available. We will use them again for sure. Dr and Mrs. Bouygues

Tiny hotel in the Latin Quarter. Street noise can be high, but rooms are tucked back from the street and new windows make a big difference. Great breakfast in the European style. Rooms are basic but have everything you need. Air flow is not the best-you have to have the ac on to move air. Very friendly and helpful staff.... More

Dear Guest Thank you to help other travelers to make a wise choice by choosing our hotel ! We have in fact the majority of our rooms that give in a little interior courtyard so it is quiet considering our localisation. For you readers of this comment, I precise that all our rooms have opening windows (which is not always... More

I've been here 4 times now - for business and with my spouse. I stayed in a standard room every time. The rooms are nice and clean. The service and complimentary breakfast are very good - nice selection of pastries & cold and hot dishes. The prices are quite reasonable for the area. The area is full of good to... More

This is a great place to stay when visiting Montreal, right in the Latin Quarter and about ten minutes walk from the old port and less than five minutes to the Metro. We had a comfortable suite on the third (top) floor, with a whirlpool bath although we didn't use it I am sure it would have been very pleasant... More

We booked a standard room because that was all that was available at the time. On Sunday we upgraded to a suite for about 20 dollars more. Beautiful old world charm! Lots of original features from the oak trim to the hardwood floors. Our second stay here and would never stay anywhere else. So many restaurants it was so hard... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
