We made this last-minute stay based on TA reviews. We have stayed on St-Denis many times now and loved this area where you can find good, diverse food easily. This hotel fits that bill. It's convenient, simple, clean with a very nice staff. Their default parking lot is uncovered btw. We opted for the covered lot at Ontario-Berri/Bibliotheque; C$12/per day/multiple... More

We selected this hotel in part because of its location on Rue St-Denis. It is close to Metro stations, many restaurants, shops, and China town. The hotel staff were very friendly when we checked in, and had a place for us to leave our luggage until the 3 pm check in. The room was very spacious. It was a suite... More

We chose this hotel because of the proximity to a lot of things in Montreal and the good ratings on TripAdvisor, but only the proximity turned out to be true. Me, my spouse and our 1 year old boy were here for one night only, and we were really disappointed with the overall experience. We thought trying something new would... More

Dear Guest Thank you for chosing our hotel.I am disapointed to read you had a bad stay with us. As an hotelier ,we are always looking for ways to improve our product and we welcome recommandations and congratulations. However, I think that there is a lot of frustration here that led to exaggeration. Our economic room number 1 does not... More

My husband and I just returned from a fantastic 5 day stay at Auberge le Jardin d'Antoine. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and were traveling without our kids, so we splurged on one of the deluxe suites. We loved the spacious living room area with separate bedroom, facing onto St. Denis street. Each room in the Auberge has it's... More

The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. The location is perfect. The free circus was right outside our door. The rooms are well appointed. Breakfast was wonderful. If we go to Montreal again, we would stay here.

We enjoyed out stay...the staff was helpful and friendly, offering info about the metro, bus stops. The breakfast featured two kinds of cheese, a big selection of bread (raisin, banana nut, muffins, panini, white, wheat), cereals, delicious fruit cups (all fresh fruit, not canned) orange juice, milk and coffee. We stayed in two different rooms and both were clean and... More

We enjoyed our two night stay at this hotel. The room was clean and adequate in all ways. The staff of the hotel was very helpful and the breakfast was very nice. We found the area to be interesting with a lot of dining options and easy access to the metro. We would certainly return!

Fine old, converted brownstone. Staff friendly--even to an English speaker like me. Breakfast was disappointing. All breads and carbs. I had a skimpy fruit cup and searched best breakfast in Montreal while I ate it. Some of the rooms are connected through an outdoor balcony which went right by out window. Awkward to have people walk by. Not unhappy here... More

The hotel is located in the Latin Quarter, and about a 20 minute walk to Montreal's Old Port and downtown. There are a lot of restaurant just down the street from the hotel. Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
