Enjoyed an excellent stay during McGill move-in weekend. Great location, beautiful hotel and excellent service. Did not visit the cafe but the lobby bar and pool were wonderful diversions. The staff were amazing.
Our go to when in Montreal. Very comfortable rooms, we treated ourselves to a King suite and lots of room. Service is excellent and by day one the doorman knew our name! Great touch. Given the covid restrictions no room service or drinks in the lovely lobby bar or breakfast in the restaurant, so we got a great list of places for delivery and the hotel was fabulous in providing cutlery and a variety of plates, when we ordered in. Lovely view of Mont Royal. We will go again.
We stayed here for two nights. We had the one-bedroom suite. This hotel is completely outdated. Everything is old and feels old. The sofa bed we needed the use was so old that springs were off and constantly make a weird squeaky sound; I mean non-stop. The heating/cooling system is old, so if you are there in transitional seasons when some days cold and some days hot, the chances are that you will either be super cold in your room or super hot because they cannot have both systems running at the same time. In our case, we were there when Montreal suddenly got very cold. So we were freezing in our room, until we were notified that the hotel finally decided (perhaps due to many complaints) to turn on their central heating system. I was shocked to see no water in the room, not even to sell. If you need water in the middle of the night, you need to go downstairs and get it from the reception. The bathrooms were both clogged and water was not going down easily. The hotel does not have a proper restaurant onsite. They serve you breakfast in a tiny place and for that we needed to stand in line for over 40 minutes for someone to come and say hello to us. Three families ahead of us were fed up with the situation and left. The second morning, we did not even bother. When I called the front desk to tell them about the bed, a lady by the name of Melissa, told me "such is life, it is not perfect, problems happen unfortunately." I was shocked. So all and all, we travel a lot. This was probably the 20th hotel we stayed at this Summer between the US, Canada and Europe. Stay away from this one. With their pricing, you can do a lot and I mean it a lot better.…
It was a great stay in Montreal. The location of the hotel is just spot on, an amazing property at the right place. We had a very warm welcome, staff are tentative, professional and knowledgeable. The room was stunning, spacious with all the amenities required and great value for money. It can use a bit of updating, especially the bathroom, however this didn't take away from the overall experience at all. We would definitely stay there again, as it is an ideal choice to explore the city and have a comfortable and relaxing stay.
Stayed for a long weekend and every employee we encountered delivered excellent service with warm professionalism. Rooms were clean, roomy and well appointed. The location is is extremely convenient for downtown as well as Mount Royal.
My kids and I had a great time at this Omni. Hotel room was clean. The outdoor pool is awesome during the summer months. But unfortunately it closes at 7pm so no night swimming. The opus restaurant was convenient but overpriced for the food they were serving. The wait staff was friendly. And lastly, a big thank you to Juan who greeted us at the front desk. He was super friendly and helpful.
I’ve stayed in several Omni hotels. This one is not at the same standard. The website I booked it on said it was a 4.5 star. I give it a 3.5 star. There is no restaurant on site except for breakfast. Just getting some normal milk for coffee proved to be quite difficult. The concierge sent us to a horrible restaurant nearby after requesting a recommendation for a good restaurant. The staff are generally friendly.
We booked the Omni for our first time ever to Montreal and I’m so glad we did! It’s a wonderful hotel that is very well maintained. We loved our king size bed and our room even had enough space for a cot for our daughter. We spent a lot of time at the pool which was my daughter’s favorite thing. They had a bin full of water toys and she was happy as a clam. Great location to food and shopping (and a metro stop!) - we will stay here again. The employees were wonderful and patient with our 5 yr old who asks a lot of questions - especially Geoffrey at checkin (our daughter tried our her limited French on him) and Rui who was always so friendly and helpful every time we saw him. He is fantastic and would stay here again just to see him.
Unfortunately, on the last day of a Regent cruise, my husband and I, along with at least 50 other passengers tested positive for Covid in Montreal. So Regent arranged for the required 10 day quarantine in the Omni Hotel. We were met in the lobby by the concierge Gerry Lonergan, who told us that he would do everything in his power to make our quarantine bearable- and he did! Everything that we needed was immediately delivered to our room. We filled out a 10 day breakfast order, that has been filled and delivered every morning. A list of nearby restaurants that deliver was provided. Today, Gerry arranged to bring dinner from a steak restaurant to all of us quarantineers who wanted it. The room is roomy 😊 and we have a nice view. We very much appreciate this hotel providing rooms (albeit a tad expensive), and especially the thoughtful and efficient Gerry. As for us, we have only had a cough and now test negative after 7 days. Canada and the US require the 10 day quarantine irregardless, and we will receive a letter of recovery at the end of the 10 days allowing us to board a flight back to the US.…
Nice hotel- the style and fittings are a bit 80s but it was clean, spacious and quiet. No room service or minibar though, or any in room info/ where to find this info elsewhere. Might have been due to covid but with everything else back to normal, I'm not so sure. The staff were helpful when approached and all the guys on the front door very polite. The gym and pool area were a good size too. One bugbear of mine was no shower gel in the bathroom toiletries, just bars of soap (a bit old school!) But overall a nice stay, just maybe not the most modern 4 star experience.
