Nice hotel in downtown Montreal. Close to many amenities although a bit of a walk to many. Street construction makes things a little difficult to move around but you adapt quickly. Rooms are spacious and have a older world luxury feel. Doormen are excellent and friendly, rest of staff fairly aloof. Great value for money spent - excellent area of...

Avoid this hotel at this time. I circled for an hour, unable to break through street barricades to park. City workers labored until 3 am on street work below, impossible to sleep. No mention of any of these issues during reservations or check -out. Just the perfunctory "How was your stay?" Beautiful property, great staff, restaurant, though.

Sadly, Montreal is broken. Having travelled there regularly for years I have become hardened to the constant construction and generally poor road conditions. The city has, however, taken it to a new level. This is obviously not the hotel's fault but a tamping machine at 6am was not the way I like to be awakened. The hotel is clean, staff...

Clean room, comfortable beds, nice empty space to move around, study table and light to focus on work... High Quality food at the restaurant, at the middle of Montreal Down-town, right across McGill university library. Reasonable price, Friendly staff. Everyone is ready to to help with any question you may have with a big smile on their faces... Had a...

I recently spend 4 nights at the Hotel Omni Mont-Royal on a business trip. Check in was quick, friendly, and I was very pleased with my room. The view was nice, facing the mountain. The room was well equipped with lots of space and lots of outlets! A pet peeve is when you can't charge your phone near the bed...

The hotel was in a very good location. Lots of restaurants, bars, shopping malls and metro nearby. The room was nice, the decor modern and in good taste. I did not like the 'pop corn' type of ceiling though and the carpet was a bit dated. The bathroom was nice and its the first hotel that I have ever been...

We were treated amazingly right from the moment my group arrived! The rooms were clean, large and the bed was very comfortable. We travelled to the Onmi Montreal for business and spent a great deal of time there. The staff was 5 Stars easily, the food was amazing and I will definitely stay there again and strongly recommend this hotel...

A four-day stay tested a good bit of the Omni Mont Royal from the front desk to the concierge to room service to the gym to the Alice Bar and housekeeping. All were superb -- just top notch at every turn. Their hallways emit a delicious aroma, and none of their spaces or rooms hint of stale smoke. Upon delivery...

The Omni in downtown Montreal is always a guaranteed good experience. I recommend it regularly to teammates and clients. About the only negative comment I could make is that the drinks in the lobby bar are a little high. But the quality is good.

nice hotel in center of the city. easy access to all the touristic sights. near McGill university and art museum. The only draw back at the time of our visit was the extensive construction work all around the hotel and near by.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
