The Hyatt Regency Montreal is in the heart of the city. Centrally located to the mall, metro, and plaza. You are within walking distance of plenty of eateries and China Town. Everything else in the city can be reached in the city with a metro pass. I believe a weekend pass is 13 dollars. The hotel itself was ok and...

From the moment we checked in, the experience was incredible. I have to specifically call out Claude. He checked us in and was our go to contact for our entire stay. His ability to listen and suggest restaurants (even make reservations) based on what we were looking for, and answer our countless questions about Montreal made us feel like we...

This is a terrific hotel located right at Place Des Arts and surrounded by a number of very good restaurants. We received a warm welcome upon check-in and were given a room facing Place Des Arts and its very colorful displays at night. The room is standard Hyatt and was impeccably clean and quiet. We had breakfast each day in...

I stay at over 100 hotels a year. This one by far has been the worst. The elevators are not connected from the parade to the rooms, with a stop having to be made at the foyer and a transfer to another set of elevators. Then, in one instance, I waited over 10 minutes for the elevator to come to...

This hotel is located in the Complex Desjardins in Montreal which puts it very close to shopping and dining options. Everything was clean and the service here was very friendly and professional. The only downside to this hotel is that it is somewhat old (built in the 1970s), but they have done good work keeping it modernized and the beds...

The rooms are a bit small and dark, same goes for the bathroom which is very tiny. Accessing the hotel is a bit of hassle, where you have to take multiple elevator to reach your room.. The best thing about this hotel is the location, you can't beat that at all.

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
