Le Centre Sheraton Montreal Hotel garners appreciation for its well-appointed, spacious rooms and a suite of quality amenities such as the indoor pool, fitness area, and Club Lounge, all of which receive high marks for service and variety. While the central location is a highlight for ease of access to nearby attractions, some guests feel the additional charges and overpriced alcohol diminish the hotel's value. Although the service is generally lauded for being attentive, there are mentions of inconsistency. Additionally, the ambiance is mixed, with some finding it lacking warmth, and cleanliness receives both praise and critique.

My family and I stayed at La Centre Sheraton Montreal from 2/21 through 2/24 and stayed in room 1718. This was our first time as a family in Montreal. I will admit that I was a bit worried given some of the reviews on this sight, but there were enough good reviews for us to give it a shot. I am happy to report that we had such a great time and there were little to no negative experiences – you must give La Centre Sheraton a try when you come to Montreal!! Location: Great location – walking distance to underground city, metro, buses, parks, and restaurants. Few good places to eat include Dunn’s, Cora, Weinstein and Gambino’s and Siam. We used our car to get to other areas, like Old Montreal/Port, Mount Royal Park etc. Most things within 20 mins to the hotel. Parking: We paid a little extra for the in and out parking so that we can use our car as much as needed. There are 10 levels of parking – we were able to park on levels 4 through 10 and always parked on 6, close to the elevator. It is a very tight area to move and drive to be careful. Car was fine and no damage or anything from using the garage. Check in: Check in was a breeze. We got there at 12:45 and our room was ready. Front desk and staff very friendly and helpful. We specifically asked for a room away from the elevator. By 1PM, we were in the room (1718) Room: Room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a great view of Mt Royal Park and the city. With the park in the background as well, it made you feel like you were in the mountains. TV allowed for Netflix login. Beds very comfortable and we slept great!! Bathroom clean and modern, with plenty of hot water any time we needed a shower. Shower handle fell off a few times and there was no vent, so the bathroom was foggy which was a bit annoying. Elevators: Quick, easy to use, and not for the faint of heart – they are shaky, loud, and rise / fall rather quickly. But safe as any other elevator. Pool/Jacuzzi: Pool and Jacuzzi were a great amenity to have. No matter what, every day, my kids wanted to go. It was never packed and a fun time. Lobby Experience: Lobby was always lively. We didn’t eat at the restaurant (Stanley), but we got several night caps and brought them back to the room. Great drinks and bartenders. Starbucks was also a nice amenity – never a line and quick service. Staff: Very friendly, helpful, and courteous. I tried to do my best with basic French, but most people spoke English very well. The few times I called the front desk from the room for questions were fine – helpful and knowledgeable of the city and how to get to certain places. We needed toilet paper once and it was at our room in 10 minutes. Cleaning people also very friendly.

The hotel is one of the nicest Sheraton's that I have stayed at in several years and definitely my go to in Montreal. The hotel is located exactly where you want to be in downtown Montreal (close to many great places). The hotel has been completely renovated with rooms that are cozy, and have great views. I was very high up and the view was spectacular. The lobby restaurant was really good - so happy I ate there. Note, for Bonvoy elite members, the Lounge is really something else on the 37th floor. Top service, excellent snacks and delicious Hors d’Oeuvre. Peter, one of the hosts was great. But the best part of all was Ingrid at the front desk. She provided a sincere warm welcome with a smile, made us feel at home and took great attention to detail with helping us get the best room available - truly thankful. She exemplified true professionalism in attitude and job execution.. Wow! Very impressed. Thanks again for a great stay, and a big shout out to Ingrid!! Keep up the great service!

I have been staying at Le Sheraton for many years, when traveling on business. The hotel and rooms are beautiful, and the location is perfect, easily walkable to many of the citiy attractions, or a short taxi to just about anywhere in the city. Yet, above all that, this hotel has amongst the best Team in the industry. Recently, I was there and Martine in the restaurant/lounge provided extraordinary service. Her charm, sincerity and eagerness to satisfy her guests are qualities which cannot be trained, rather "you have it or not", and Martine "has it". Providing a top-level customer experience comes naturally to Martine; she has been delivering that great service for years. I commend the Management at this property, because over-and-over the Team they put forward are at the top of the class. The high service level is literally from the valet, check in, restaurant, concierge, housekeeping, it's always a great experience, staying at Le Sheraton.

Hotel is asking $3 per bag to keep them before and after checkout. Wow. Of course, it is not disclosed on their website. No other hotels in Montreal does it. Neither Marriott across the street. Why to stay here then? I d avoid next time. Giving 2 stars for that, otherwise its not bad by North American standards if you get right price.

WOULD MOT RECOMMEND when there are events happening downtown due to their parking We stayed Friday to Sunday - there were holiday events and a hockey game. The parking is rented out to public with no consideration for their guests. Both days we were driving around looking for parking offsite. The second night we got valet parking only to get our car back with scratch’s. We understand accidents happen however they will not respond and avoiding any response. Front manager - Cassandra Tung responds saying someone had contacted us. I email back asking for confirmation - no response Do not stay there. Other guests also had their car damaged

I usually judge a hotel by its gym, and this place had a very well equipped gym and clean pool. The room was cozy and comfortable. The hotel restaurant had delicious food located in the lobby. The one thing that left a bad impression was that at checkout, I asked them to hold my bags until I was done eating and they asked $3 times per bag. It’s a very cheap way to make a couple of extra bucks for a hotel chain, and the hotel management should seriously get rid of this. If hotel guests are paying hundreds of dollars to stay at your hotel, do you really need to be that cheap to ask them for money to keep their bags for an hour or two??

I had a nice room on the 25th floor with a view towards the park/downtown. Room was spacious with two queens a desk and a seating area but I didn't spend much time in the room anyways. TV had relatively limited channels and an annoying hotel remote. Elevators are super fast but I was there for a large event so there were often long queues to get on when we all went on break / finished our meetings at the same time. Food was provided for us buffet style and was generally pretty good with a variety of options. Location is great if you want to be downtown - very close to the train station and the Bell Centre. Price was a bit steep ($300+ was the estimate online, in hindsight I should have probably called the front desk to see if they could do better) - I stayed in Montreal a few days longer after my event ended and opted to move to a cheaper accommodations farther from downtown.

We had very pleasant stay here. Location is OK and we were able to walk to a number of locations (like Mont Royal), but had to Uber to most restaurants and other locations. Walkable to train station, but we were warned of homeless along the way. Hotel itself is beautiful and clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Best feature of this hotel is the concierge lounge. Great for breakfast and hearty appetizers in the evening. Great views as well. Service in concierge lounge was great, especially from Sara. We like Montreal and we liked staying at this hotel. Would stay here again and would recommend to others, especially Marriott elites who have access to the concierge lounge.

The Sheraton is in a great location and is convenient for those who are attending a Habs game. I spent 3 nights in a King Club Room with access to the Club Lounge. The Club Lounge and the main restaurant the Stanley have been recently renovated. Both are great. Excellent breakfast and nice selection of snacks for Club Lounge patrons. The staff are extremely friendly. Excellent service all around. I would like to give a special mention to Alexia who took the time to speak to my wife and I in the Club Lounge. She was such a pleasure to speak to. And as always, Martine, our server in the Stanley Restaurant is the best but I can’t say enough about how well all the staff are. Hope to see you all again.

Beautiful hotel and great location. Sadly, least friendly staff I have experience in such a nice hotel. Some of the staff was nice and friendly, but service at the counter for check out could be better. 2 ladies at the counter, no customer other than me in sight and still zero eye contact to at least tell you to wait or to come forward to check in or check out. Waiter at the lobby restaurant during morning hours was rude and made me feel like I was not welcomed. Also, poor soundproofing of the rooms, could not sleep peacefully at night, the room besides was beeing super loud, but also you could hear the doors being opened and closed. I get that is it an hotel, but the rooms could have better soundproof. Wa there for a work panel, would not chose to come back other wise.
