This hotel has a bed bug infestation. I Found some bites along my thumb, waist and forearms consistent with what I experienced before with bed bugs. I only realized on the drive home... praying I didn't bring any back. Have delt with this before and I know it's a nightmare.

I was at the hotel for 5 days. I stayed in a second floor room at first and discovered bed bugs. The manager changed me to another room, located in the third floor and there were also bed bugs. Unfortunately, this bad experience is what I will recall of this hotel. This is a shame, as the staff is very... More

We're a couple in our early 40's. The property was in a fantastic location. Very close to nightlife and about a 15-20 walk to Old Montreal. There were no bugs anywhere as some people have claimed. The room was very clean and although our room faced the main street, we did not hear any noise at night while sleeping. The... More

First, my 4-star rating relates to an evaluation of this hotel in relation to other "budget" hotels. The Manoir has been my go-to hotel in Montreal for years when I didn't want to spend a fortune on accomodations. In fact, the hotel today is cleaner and more comfortable than ever. At $58CDN or about $40US a night, you can't beat... More

I spent 3 nights here with 3 girlfriends in a double room. It was ~AU$20 per person per night. We're on a budget. Being the cheapest accommodation compared to other places on our trip, our experience was as follows: - we were on the second floor dragging our luggage up 2.5 flight of stairs - the shower took a long... I was searching for a nice hotel, in a good area. This was a excellent choice. I've stayed here for 3 nights, and let me clear, if you want superb hotel, don't choose this one. Goods: Very central, nice neighborhood, very close to subway and central bus station (to and from airport), simple breakfast (croissant, cafe, orange juice), free wifi,... More

We had booked for one night. On arrival the location was basically awful with homeless people walking up and down the middle of the road begging for money. Bad start. Parked outside quickly to go check in. Inside was dirty with cigarettes on the floor. A grubby man appeared who at first looked like one of the homeless people who... More

I stayed here for a week and had a wonderful time. The staff here are just so friendly and helpful and made my time here very enjoyable. The hotel is clean and comfortable and is in a great central location, close to many restaurants and sites. The croissant and coffee each morning was delicious! Highly recommended!

I stayed in this small hotel for 4 nights, it is near to berri-uqam station and long distance bus terminal. I took a long distance bus, the location is really superb. Walkable to many attractions, e.g. Chinatown, Old montreal. Many restaurants and pubs nearby, don't have to worry about food. Simple breakfast with croissant is served with coffee everyday, which... Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
