Convenient because next to Rue Sainte-Catherine and has a supermarket IGA downstairs. But there is no TV in the hotel!!! And there is a music festival in the park in front of the hotel on Saturday night. The music doesn't stop until 11pm, and we have to wake up at 6am the next morning. It's just insane.

When we first checked I , it was ok. Dinner service was extremely long and not worth it . We mainly utilized the grocery store and outside restaurants. On the 5th day of our stay, we had to go to the lobby 4 times to access our room. We had warm food that was getting cold and there were a... More

Location was prime.. Clean and friendly. While we were there they were recording lavoie. The only diwn fall was that there was no mini fridge in the room. But all in all it was gorgeous and had a big parking space

The hotel was very nice and clean and the pool was small as was the gym. The hotel is located at the edge of Montreal's gay village. The area was very close to the metro line but had a lot of homeless people around since it is right across from a park were a soup kitchen was set up.

Very slow check in and not professional reception. While I was queing just 1 staff was doing the check in while the other was busy with something apparently more important than customers waiting. Outdated room and facilities. Despite it s cheap is still not good value for money. I would not suggest!!

Had a superior room which existed of a king size bed, higher level room, overlooking city which was very nice. Hotel needs some updating, carpeting, wallpaper, bathrooms and lobby, which would then make it a five star for me.

Staff was very nice and accomadating. Our room was nice and comfortable; two double beds. Bathroom was nice and clean. There was a free breakfast included and we could upgrade our type of breakfast while eating for a reasonable rate. That was really convenient. The breakfast food was really good. The buffet offered a lot of options. The hotel was... More

Nice hotel & indoor pool..right on st Catherine's which draws lots of poor homeless people. Park across the st had concerts, which were easily heard from 22nd floor. Poor choice if you have young kids trying to sleep. Overall would recommend. Parking $22 underground secure, but beware if you have an SUV... Extremely LOW CLEARANCE!!

We took a family trip with two teenage kids and enjoyed our stay for the May long weekend. Negative: Decor a bit outdated. It must've been busy when we went because check in was about a 1/2 hour wait. Area is a little seedy late at night, but full of nightlife if that is what you are looking for. Positive:... More

I don't disagree with some of the other comments that the hotel decor may be a bit outdated. But that's not a priority for me. I was not planning on spending all my time in a hotel looking at it. It was clean, the staff were nice and helpful, my room had a Keurig coffee machine (I swiped creamers from... More

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theaters, and exhibition centers are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
