Thlis is our second visit. The first was amost 35 years ago with wonderful memories. This one did not disappoint. The staff are lovely, the room great. Excellent dinner in the hotel restaurant. Looking forward to our next visit.

I spend one night there this month. The good part: clean room but dated, near Metro, near many restaurants. The not so good part: noisy street noise even on 7th floor, noisy air conditioner that does not cool or heat. Be sure breakfast is included for each person staying in the room or just the first one who reserve the... More

Located in French part of the city.. Hotel very clean, staff excellent ... Not a family hotel...modern business hotel. Beds are firm , they provide mini fridge and light snacks. Saturday morning breakfast was excellent... your perfect way to start your day in Montreal. Room rate was very competitive at $ 160 plus taxes for single occupancy.

We have stayed here twice as it is very convenient to our sons apartment. We have found the staff very friendly and more than happy to switch to English for us. The room is clean, well appointed and comfortable. We have not dined here but the "free" breakfast is fine. We would return.

I just recently, 5 minutes ago tried to call the hotel to book a room and the receptionist didn't refused to speak English after I spoke my broken French. She didn't even attempt to call one of her colleagues to translate. She just hanged up the phone! If this is how this hotel treats their potential clients, I will have... More

The location of the hotel is convenient, but WiFi (free) was very spotty, and the carpets in the room were chocolate brown and looked unclean. The bed was too soft with you sinking in the bed, and a bit lumpy. Due to this, it is unlikely I would book here again. Happily I was able to connect my TV to... More

Location, location, location! Walking distance to bars and restaurants, and even old Montreal. What a way to ring in the new year. The hotel has been renovated recently, and boasts modern rooms with great amenities. The washroom was impeccable. There was a walkout balcony, and amazing views to boot. The only negative comment I have to make is about the... More

We picked this hotel because of its proximity to our favorite restaurant in Montreal (L'Express). The hotel was clean, modern, and convenient. We had a room on the 8th floor, which afforded a nice view and was very quiet with little street noise. Unfortunately we had to check out very early the next morning to catch our flight so didn't... Modern, pleasant. Excellent location- adjacent to the Sherbrooke Metro Stn, and on Rue St. Denis. Staff are great. Warning to women travellers (in particular, but maybe some men, too!) - No hair conditioner provided. In the midst of a Montreal winter this can be a real problem!

Stayed here for four nights with my wife. The hotel room was nice, with comfortable bed and a balcony. The breakfast was also very good. I find the services rendered by the students as much better than you would get from "experienced" hosts; they were all very warm and nice and always available to give recommendations or to make reservations.... Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighborhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colorful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
