I got this hotel for a steal of a deal off hotwire for 3 days for $53/n + taxes. The beds and rooms are very comfortable. I really liked the sliding wall instead of blackout curtains! The hotel was Covid-19 friendly and well cleaned/maintained. You are right off of Decarie and less than a 5 minute walk to the metro. Parking is also free which helped keep the cost down compared to staying downtown. I'd definitely stay here again!

Clean and modern, affordable prices. Has an outdoor pool, barber service, two restaurants, sauna and gym. Maybe a little understaffed due to COVID. Access to public transit and large shopping centre across the highway

I didn’t want to have to write this review but unfortunately the hotel does not want to try and rectify the situation. My friend and I stayed at Hotel Ruby Foos last week and at 2:30am I noticed a small flat red bug climbing up the side of the bed. I flicked it off without thinking and then realized it might be a bed bug. My friend and I lifted our pillows and we both found these tiny bugs under them (picture attached) we immediately packed up our things and went down to the front desk. The guy at the front desk did not seem to care that much and just asked us if we were going to check out. We said no, it’s 3am, we’d like to move to the other side of the hotel so we can at least get to sleep since we had to leave at 8am. The next day when we were checking out we asked for compensation since we were forced to move at 3am and slept less than 5 hours. She said there was nothing she could do but that I would be receiving a call regarding an inspection. We were told a 3rd party would be coming to inspect the room. After not hearing anything for a few days, I called and was told a manager would call me. After 2 days (one week from the initial incident) and a lot of phone tag and repeat calling, I finally got in touch with a manager. Adriani said that they determined there was no bed bugs, so they were not getting a 3rd party company, and they were probably just bugs from outside because there’s no screen on the window. She said because they’re not bed bugs there’s nothing she can do. I said that I’m pretty sure they are bed bugs, and either way, there were bugs in our bed, don’t they care? Does it matter what kind of bugs? THERE WERE BUGS IN OUR BEDS. She said the offered an alternative (no, we asked for the alternative, since the front desk guy just offered for us to check out at 3am) so they can’t do anything since they aren’t bed bugs. She said “there’s nothing left for me to say” and that was the end of the conversation. So, we paid 100$ for a room with bugs in the bed. So, if you want to share a bed with bugs this is the hotel for you! But don’t worry, apparently they might not be bed bugs.

Dear 123Chloet, Thank you for taking the time to write us concerning your resent stay at Hotel Ruby Foo`s. Our managers have addressed your concerns during your stay directly upon being notified of this situation. On Friday morning we outlined the procedures we take on the phone. We take our guests comfort as well as our guests concerns very seriously and the gravity of the possibility of these situations very seriously as well. Our Executive Housekeeper and Director of Maintenance went to the room in order to verify if there were any traces of bed bugs in your room. Our team completed a full and very thorough inspection of the room which included a removal of the mattress and checking of the box spring and the head board, as well as removing all bedding and checking it carefully for signs of the bugs or their excrement, it was identified that there were indeed no traces of bed bugs in the room, or any other bugs in the room. Our business rests on the fundamental of guest service and a spirit to serve. Upon hearing that you were uncomfortable in the room because of a bug that was found, our front desk agent offered a new room to you the same night as well as a sincere apology that you did not feel comfortable in the room. Additionally, the original room was put out of service immediately so that it could be inspected the following day. We are confused by the comments stating there was multiple bugs in the room as we keep detailed records of all of our guest concerns and we were only informed of the 1 single bug that was found in the room and did not find any traces of other bugs upon inspection. As explained, the room you occupied is placed on a low floor and the windows do open very wide in the rooms, where a bug from the outside could have easily entered in the room. We would like to ensure you that our staff follows every precaution we can to protect our guests which includes routine inspections of our rooms. Thank you for your kindly understanding and hope to serve you again should your travels bring you to the Montreal area. Sincerely,

We are here for four days and are having a great stay! Very clean and Covid friendly. Everyone is wearing masks. No body makes our room , during Covid , but you can change towels and have what you need off the cart , such things as shampoo or soap. No one comes to your room . Staff very helpful and friendly..free parking ... good location as you are right on the Décarie expressway and can go everywhere from here. Would highly recommend.
