I was in town for a business conference, arrived earlier, checked in around 12pm - the room was a suite with a queen and a sofa-bed, for 3 people There were no extra bed sheet set/duvet/pillows, so I went to concierge at 2pm, to ask for that to be sent up. At 5pm when meeting was over, I went up to the room. still no bed set, so I called service, with no answer, so I called with my cellphone, no answer, I then went back down to ask for that - I was then sent a single bed sheet about an hour later, no pillow, asked the guy to get me a pillow, quick service as I tipped him to be sure I'd get a pillow. Open up the sofa-bed, the most crooked looking mattress greeted me, stained with god-knows-what, blood, bodily secretions, you name it, springs all busted to dust. Won't be sleeping there anymore - even if its an inconvenience as the quarterly meetings take place at that hotel

This was without doubt the worst hotel stay I have ever had. Only staying in town one night and all I needed to do was iron a shirt. No iron, only an ironing board. After 5 calls to housekeeping and the front desk, finally someone answered and said they would send one up. Nothing came. 5 more calls later, another person said they would send one up. 1/2 hour later an Ironing .board was delivered, when I asked for an Iron. The fellow did not speak English so he didn’t understand when I told him I needed an iron not an iron board. Again, more unanswered calls to the front desk, this time it took more than 10, and still no one answered. Finally someone called and said they were sorry for the misunderstanding and they would bring one right up. 40 minutes later, and 5 more unanswered calls, I got the same employee on the phone who proceeded to tell me that they had given out all of their irons, and there were none available. It never even crossed his mind to call me and tell me this, I had to call to find out that he was never coming. Next, someone tried to get into my room. I opened the door only to find another guest had been given the same room, and he was trying to get in. He had to got back to the front desk to get another room assigned. My shirt is now hanging from the ceiling fan in the bathroom with the hot shower running in hopes that it will remove some of the wrinkles. Definitely never staying at this hotel again!

Checked in for two (2) nights (Sat-Sun), early afternoon using Credit Card and signed the documents. Received two (2) Cards for the Room. At around 10:30 pm, I woke up to the sound of someone trying to enter my room. I noticed three (3) people attempting to enter my room. As my spouse was sleeping after a long day travelling, I requested that they cease trying to enter the room as it was already occupied. Told them to return to the Front Desk. A few minutes later, I was again woken up by a knock on my door, someone claiming to be from the Front Desk, told me that I HAD TO CHANGE ROOMS!!!! I responded FIRMLY, that I would NOT be changing rooms and that it was NOT my Problem!! As a Businessman, over the past 40 years, have stayed in over 4000 Hotel Rooms with different chains...and I NEVER WAS TOLD THATI HAVE TO CHANGE ROOMS!!! I had paid, signed and went to the room I was assigned. This Hotel has ZERO Customer Service and the Staff should be Trained on Customer Relations. I contacted the Front Desk to state that I would NOT be changing rooms...and it was NOT my problem. We slept very little that night and asked to be compensated for our ordeal...Sadly, they offered NO APOLOGY and refunded a Paltry 15%!!! I do NOT recommend this Hotel...you are better off staying at a HAMPTON, HOLIDAY INN or any other Major Hotel Chain...where they have Exceptional Customer Service and treat their clients with Respect.

Ruby Foo's Hotel is our "go to" hotel because of the location, price and ease to get where we need to get. Unfortunately, our stay this past week was not up to what we normally experience. Our room was a good size, king size bed, but the tv remote did not work and after having someone come to help us twice, we finally gave up. The toilet did not flush properly and when we went to take a shower, there was no hot water. We have always stayed in a room in the four-floor tower, not the older wing. Perhaps that was our problem. Our stay was not a good example of what we were used to. Would we try again next time? Now that there is competition close by, that will be a tough decision. Given this new competition, one would think they would go out of their way to please their customers, not tell us "yes, more people complained about the water. It is hot in the gym!"

I am sorry but I was not so happy with the hotel . Maybe I'm wrong but I think they have two parts of the hotel one for the fancy people and then the back part where the rest of us got stashed. When I came into the room I thought oh it's not too bad but the second impression was not that good. A ceramic tile was broken off and if you happen to walk around without shoes you really could hurt yourself. The door of the bathroom was disgusting tripping dirt and caved on substance on the bathroom door. Out of the three lights in the bathroom only one worked. The fridge is specifically the ice part completely overgrown with ice. Could barely get the door closed . Bad linen was ripped lamp on the wall broken and my favorite one the door in the hallway was held open with a shampoo tube. The snack machine was out of order during our four day stay. Walking from the reception to our room took 8 minutes which includes waiting time for the elevator because that one is so tiny only four people fitting. The good thing is the location. Right by the metro station which brings you easily all over the city. The staff was nice and parking was free which is a big plus in Montreal

On September the 9th, 2022 we checked into your hotel, as part of a large group that reserved many rooms in your hotel for celebrating my son in law brother, Upon check in, ROOM 163, I was requested to provide my credit card info in order to access our reserved room. That is a normal procedure in many hotels, and I do respect it. However, I was immediately notified by VISA that an additional hold of $ 200 was applied. Requesting the front desk for clarification, I was told that it is a “security deposit”. For exactly what, I had no idea and the clerk could not explain. If it was for possible damages that may be my responsibility, than the hotel had to escort me to my room and verify with me that all is OK, before giving me access. If it is for after I check out, than no one came to check the room upon my departure. So what is the point? I was asked if I am an Aeroplan member. I provided the clerk with my membership number and was assured to earn the points. It’s been over 20 days, and no points have been credited. We have stayed for 3 consecutive nights. During the entire stay, we did not have our room cleaned even once. We had only one and a half rolls of toilet paper for 3 days. We had to buy papers at Walmart. We did not have our sheets changed. We did not get any soap and shampoo provided for 2 days. We had to buy supply at the nearby Walmart. We had to beg the cleaning girl in the hallway for more towels, as new fresh towels were not supplied. I personally complained to the front desk that our faucet is not working properly, it was seized. I was promised it would be rectified, but no one showed up. Our garbage was never emptied. I had to take it outside the room once a day. The ceiling fan in the bathroom is probably clogged, and humidity would stay in the bathroom for a long time. The carpets have not been vacuumed, and felt dusty. There were 8 large pillows, 4 on each bed. What’s the idea? One can use only 1 or 2, and the rest end up on the floor. Yes, 4 pillows have no use. The next gests get to use the same pillows which were on the floor. The mattresses are old and overused to a point that you simply sink into them. The elevators were dirty with leaves and debris on the floor for 3 days. The main entrance to the hotel lobby is so dirty, that one may think we are in a third world country. Tons of cigarette leftovers are pilling up just next to the main door, garbage begs and open garbage all over the garden beds for 3 days! And speaking on the hotel landscaping gardens, I must ask myself, why would the hotel spend so much money to install an irrigation system to automatically water all the WEEDS around the property? It is a disgusting view to see. Very flourishing weeds all over the property. The Kosher kitchen had no present of a Kosher supervisor showing during our 3 days stay. I have assembled a collection of photos to substantiate the above. To add salt to injury, most of our family members who stayed with us for the 3 nights, got infected by Covid-19 with symptoms showing a day after we checked out. In conclusion, we did not get what we have ordered.

A nice hotel close to a metro station with a good connection to downtown. However, why has this Hotel no house keeping? This is something we have never had traveling North America for more than 20 years. … 🙈🙈🙈 I guess this hotel has a strange Kinde of self-perception 🤗

when we walked into the hotel, the lobby was full of overflowing garbage cans. not a nice sight. the room was ok, the bed was comfy , but the furniture is old and chipped. this place needs a makeover badly. the gym equipment was ok but the lobby bathrooms were gross with one clogged and the other just disgusting. bad experience overall but i’ll rate it a 2 for the comfy bed.

Arrived to a 20 minute wait to check in. Was given a key to room 120 and off I went. First thing I noticed in the room was a fridge top that looked like it was used to change tires as opposed to being an appliance. Floors were dirty, bathroom floor stuck to shoes and feet. Only one light bulb worked, not because the others burned out but because someone removed them. Unidentified origin stain on sheet with long dark hairs, stains on pillow, one being mascara and the other being some other bodily fluid. A large burn mark in the wall paper. No USB ports for charging, a sink that took 15 minutes to drain and a glass with lip marks on it. Furniture was from last century, mattress looked like it was from a prior flop house and air conditioner made a horrible rattling sound every twenty minutes. Worst hotel I have stayed in since a hotel in Egypt in 2016. On a happy note, they did not wake me at four in the morning to pray but perhaps I should have. Maybe the room would have improved. Move to Renovated room was a silk hat on a pig. Do not book anyone here unless you don’t like them! Ruby Foos is Ruby Poos

Front desk staff pleasant enough. On arrival at room everything looked ok. We went straight out to the city. On arrival back we found the beds had not been changed from previous guests. Blood stained pillow cases. Unemptied bin. Bath with loads of hair in Disgusting
