The hostel is really big, which can make it more difficult to meet people. They could really do with a tv room to chill out considering it's size, with the cold people don't always want to go out. So there really aren't any comfortable chill...More
I was only here on a little getaway for the new year before I went back to work and this hostel blew me away! This hostel has amazing staff and amenities! Communal areas are exceptionally clan and well kept. Bed comes with towels and linens,...More
Absolutely fantastic location & amenities. Loved the communal space and downstairs bar and gathering area-and the fact that it had an ATM. The patio level in their newest building provided a great view and gathering area and I was surprised to find not one but...More
I would not hesitate to stay there again, it has the best location in the city because a few blocks away there is the metro station that connects you with the whole city, as well as transportation that takes you to the airport, the prices...More
Unfortunately it was the people at this hostel that made my stay less than great. I’d like to start off by saying that the hostel itself was great. Great amenities, very clean, and brand new. However, it was an employee that made my stay so...More

The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party
spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomized by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.

You can pay for parking at the municipal garage at the Library 3 blocks away...of you can find free parking on Rue Robin or Rue Logan, a short walk (as long as you can read the signs! There is one hour every week that cars must be moved...and other side streets have some parking, but much is reserved for those with resident stickers. It can be a little tricky, but once you learn the system, you can usually find a free space close by.
