Pat and myself recently stayed at Aubergell and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We were welcomed by Dominic, Mario and Gaia and their Hospitality was fabulous!! We look forward to our next trip to Montreal and our next visit. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing, comfortable and stylish. The breakfast is fantastic.

A visit to Aubergell is like a vacation in and of itself. We stayed in the exquisitely stylish and comfortable Loft. Just taking in the vibe of the room was relaxing. The breakfasts were delicious and differed every day. Dominic and Mario are most gracious and helped us with dining recommendations that were excellent. While located a quick walk from... More

We have been visiting this B&B over the last several years. This place never disappoints. With its relaxing and cozy atmosphere it always gives us a sense of a perfect getaway. The decor is modern but eclectic. It's in a great location. The real jewel of the place is the energy and overwhelming hospitality provided by the hosts Dominic and... More

The word exquisite comes to mind. Such attention to detail and design. (We were so inspired by the furniture that we went out of our way to visit the store!) We arrived 3 hours late on Amtrak and were still greeted warmly! Dominic and Mario are very special people. You can feel it from the moment you meet them. The... More

Dominic and Mario were perfect Hosts. Friendly, helpful and genuine - our room and patio were amazing - wonderful décor. We had 3 breakfasts there and each one was a work of culinary Art. nearby Parking was arranged at a reasonable price considering downtown Montreal. Highly recommend this fine establishment for a classy and different experience while in Montreal!

We loved staying here and have already booked our next trip. You feel like you are staying with your close friends -- truly beautiful rooms, gourmet breakfasts, lovely setting with outside spaces, you wont want to leave -- but if you do, location is great -- lots of shopping and dining within walking distance, or walk to Metro to explore... The best part about Aubergell is the warm hospitality of the hosts. They went out of their way to make our visit memorable from creative, delicious breakfasts (they even arranged b'fast for an early start!) to nice touches in the room. B&B is very convenient to the metro and close to one of the best parks in Montreal and St... More

Prior to visiting Montréal for a relatively short visit, I checked reviews on TripAdvisor and can vouch first hand how awesome this place is. The host/owners could not be more warm and gracious. My room -- loft #4 -- was nicely appointed with modern furnishings, private shower, a very comfortable bed, and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was fantastic, too; not merely... More

We stayed at Aubergell for 2 nights while in Montreal for a weekend. The owners - very friendly and sincere - have really good taste (rooms are very nicely decorated) and their attention to details is clearly visible throughout the B&B. They also go over-and-above to ensure your stay is comfortable. There are only 3 rooms on the top floor... More

Excellent location that allows you to get easily to the Metro (underground) if necessary. You can walk to The Gay Village, to the Place des Arts, to many restaurants. The area around is very quiet with low rise buildings. The rooms are clean and the beds very comfortable. Of course the highlight is the gastronomical breakfast included in the price.... More

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighborhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomized by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
