What a delightful place. We had a ground floor room with private bath - perfect. Breakfast was excellent set in a country French room with view of the garden. Luc was a charming host who helped us with the parking and also with directions around town. Convenient location - within walking distance to restaurants and shops. Thank you Luc for... More

Found this gem online and couldn't be more pleased! The location is perfect for walking to the Old Port, Vieux Montreal, the Latin quarter and to catch taxis or the tour buses. The guesthouse has been lovingly restored and furnished with all the details one would require..there is a lovely back garden also. Breakfast was delicious with yogurt, croissants, fresh... More

My first visit ever to Montreal was a great introduction to the city. With no real plans, we spent our time exploring. We stayed at La Conciergie B&B which is a lovingly restored home just a few blocks from the waterfront and Old Montreal. This is a very walkable city with many sights to see along the way as well... I've stayed here a few times over the last several years, this recent trip was a two night stay and selected a room with a shared bath. Very comfortable space, wasn't too hot / too cold, and only had to wait a few minutes on one occasion for the bath. Love the breakfast options, but only wish the WiFi was... More

This charming B&B is perfectly maintained and attentively managed by the host couple. We enjoyed the location because it was easy walking distance to Old Montreal. We slept very well in the quiet room and comfortable bed. There were two things we forgot to adequately research. First there are no TVs in the rooms. Normally this would be fine since... More

We have stayed here several times before but were very surprised this morning to discover that this guest house had changed from a gay men's home to a mixed couple's B & B! It still is very nice and well run but just not the same! We understand that the owner may see this as a way to augment his... More

I really enjoyed my stay at la conciergerie. Not only is the location perfect to explore Montreal and the gay village, the guest house itself is lovely and well run. Nothing was too much and I was really well looked after by all. This is definitely my place to stay whenever I come back to Montreal

First of all, to be charitable, the Gay Village is down on its heels. Were I more direct I could call it a slum. Addicts in doorways shooting up? Really? That said, La Conciergerie was a great place to stay. My room was on the ground floor and arrived the day after a tremendous thunderstorm. Basements are damp...old basements even... More

We stayed with our son in a beautiful room near a large deck-- an outdoor living room where we enjoyed meeting other guests and absorbing the backyard residential scene. The various inviting public spaces made this a good choice for us, letting us spread out. Our hosts kept everything humming along smoothly, with good humor and a preternatural sense for... More

Michael was a great host! He arranged a welcome wine and cheese tray for us which our daughter had called about. He also was of great assistance in finding us a parking spot on the street. Breakfast was one of the better continental breakfasts we have had and the view from the dining room is beautiful. Our room was very... More

Staying in Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)

Neighborhood Profile
Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)
Named for the Olympic Stadium complexes built for the 1976 games, the Olympic Park and the surrounding neighborhood of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa) make up an invigorated area dedicated to "Space for Life." Around the Olympic Village's arenas and stadiums, Rue Sherbrooke welcomes exploration of its sculpture gardens decorated in the works of Jean-Paul Riopelle and its museum culture headed by the historical Château Dufresne. Maisonneuve Park offers interactive experiences at its bio-dome, insectarium, planetarium, and botanical gardens. For a change of scene, the gentrified space along Rue Ontario Est is packed with the city's newest, edgiest cafes, where an imaginative, youthful crowd sips foamy cappuccinos. A visit here is incomplete without stepping into the vast halls of the Maisonneuve Market, with flower stalls, wine depots, and local produce.
