We stayed with our son in a beautiful room near a large deck-- an outdoor living room where we enjoyed meeting other guests and absorbing the backyard residential scene. The various inviting public spaces made this a good choice for us, letting us spread out. Our hosts kept everything humming along smoothly, with good humor and a preternatural sense for... More

Michael was a great host! He arranged a welcome wine and cheese tray for us which our daughter had called about. He also was of great assistance in finding us a parking spot on the street. Breakfast was one of the better continental breakfasts we have had and the view from the dining room is beautiful. Our room was very... More

I truly enjoyed a 2 night stay at La Conciergerie during a recent work trip. The location was perfect - within easy walking distance to the Limocar bus station and food/drink spots, as well as to the old town area. A great art fair was happening on the nearby pedestrian street during my stay, which made my leisure hours very... More

Michael was a great host. The B&B is located within walking distance to old Montreal, the Latin quarter and more. We didn't move our car for days. The house is beautiful and well kept. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast is a good continental breakfast (hard boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, breads). Garden is beautiful, though we didn't have time to sit out... More

We just got back from a terrific trip to Montreal and Quebec City. In Montreal my wife and I stayed at La Conciergie on the strength of previous reviews. Luc and Michael were terrific hosts, and they run a really great B&B. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, and the breakfast was simple and perfect, with hours extending to 11... More

The Guest House was perfectly located between the Gay Village and Old Montreal. Easy walk to both. The accommodations were fine for the money. Clean. The breakfast room in the basement was a beautiful room with an outdoor garden. There is a roof top deck that you can sunbath. The Guest house is not exclusively gay so if you are... More

This was my second stay at La Concierge, and it seems nothing has changed. The host Luc was very helpful specially with a specific problem I had. The breakfast is excellent. There is a spa and gym in the basement, which we used, and those are probably open the whole day and night, specially if the other guests are not... More

We booked this stay based on pricing and proximity to Old Montreal. It was about a 15 minute walk and much more reasonably priced than Old Montreal accommodation pricing, particularly traveling on business. The co-owner, Luc, was amazingly accommodating - from making sure I had a blow dryer in the room to ensuring us that we wouldn't get a parking... More

This review is long overdue. I decided to stay in a bed and breakfast type place as opposed to a regular hotel because I wanted the convenience of a more home like setting for my 2 week stay. Besides, it can get very lonely in a single room in a big hotel for 2 weeks. I was met by Luc,... More

Our 3 night stay at La Conciergerie was excellent. Our host, Luc, was friendly and hospitable. Two connecting townhouses make up the B&B, and everything including the rooms were nice and clean. Our room was quiet and the back garden was beautiful. The B&B is located about 10 minutes from the heart of Old Montreal, so it's nicely located if... More

Staying in Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)

Neighborhood Profile
Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)
Named for the Olympic Stadium complexes built for the 1976 games, the Olympic Park and the surrounding neighborhood of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa) make up an invigorated area dedicated to "Space for Life." Around the Olympic Village's arenas and stadiums, Rue Sherbrooke welcomes exploration of its sculpture gardens decorated in the works of Jean-Paul Riopelle and its museum culture headed by the historical Château Dufresne. Maisonneuve Park offers interactive experiences at its bio-dome, insectarium, planetarium, and botanical gardens. For a change of scene, the gentrified space along Rue Ontario Est is packed with the city's newest, edgiest cafes, where an imaginative, youthful crowd sips foamy cappuccinos. A visit here is incomplete without stepping into the vast halls of the Maisonneuve Market, with flower stalls, wine depots, and local produce.
